“Exceptional stay in a quiet location”

After arriving from a long day on the motorcycles, La Bastide du Bonheur was a welcomed oasis. The rooms were exceptional, the peace oand tranquility was just what we needed, and the hosts Daryl & Nadege couldn't have been more accomodating, It was an absolute bonus to have an evening meal cooked by the hosts & not worry about having to go out.

Very pleasant room with a nice bathroom. We enjoyed to have each our own bed for more confort. Our host was friendly and present just enough to anwser to our needs.

An authentic house in French countryside. Very clean, and attention to details. Nice breakfast in a cozy dining room, one moment - I would also add some eggs/omelette. Very pleasant and attentive host. Waited for us until late hour.

The breakfast was good. The bread was exceptional. We liked the fact that they would cook an evening meal and the meals were very good. The house is in a lovely country area.

A delightful stay, very friendly and helpful hosts. A superb roomy, room! Well appointed with everything you would expect or want for a holiday stay. Perhaps a rail in the large shower cubicle could be added as the shower tray is a little slippery, not essential as long as you are aware. Great stay and I will definitely stay again. Superb!

“A quaint country stay”

The region is simply breathtakingly beautiful. From one bend in the road to the next, you're stunned with views of rolling hills, forest and the quaintest farm houses and villages. The accommodation was spot on. Not only was the room beautifully decorated and well appointed, but our hosts were exceptional. They were truly friendly and accommodating, and made our stay extra enjoyable.

A lovely character full property . Very comfortable and with a magnificent open fire , lovely when it’s a bit chilly. The bedroom was very well equipped and the beds were extremely comfortable. All home comforts were there. The table D’Hôte dinner provided was excellent and wine just as good. The hosts Darryl and Ladige were very friendly and kind . The breakfast was nice and served with a smile . We would highly recommend this place as a stop over or for a longer stay. We wished we were staying longer and will be back Thank you!

“Wonderful stay in Ger with lovely hosts”

Incredibly wonderful hosts: always helpful and nice, they are ready to answer your questions regarding possible points of interest (sightseeing, local markets etc.) and to give you advice. Additionally, the hosts always help you if you encounter any problems (we had a problem with our car key battery - instantly solved by them) Food: Breakfast consists of a variety of tasty local products. Delicious dinners are available and are freshly made with lots of love (please remember to book dinners in advance/ ask them regarding availability). Cleanliness: room is always clean and equipped with necessities. Location: we came here trying to escape our stressful day-to-day life and managed to find peace and quiet here to relax. What a joy it was to sit outside with a cup of tea and to hear NOTHING. It was delightful. We are very happy that we found this gem in Ger and grateful to the amazing hosts which made our stay enjoyable and memorable. We hope to come back here again soon.

This place was all I wanted it to be. And more. Located kind of remotely you won’t be bothered by street noise or any other sounds than the beautiful nature outside. This place will surely get your blood pressure down.

Daryl and Nadege were very friendly and welcoming. The building has been very nicely renovated and has a lot of character. It is set in the countryside not far from the village of Ger. We ate there both nights of our stay, Nadege is an excellent cook the food was delicious.
