Located in Gemozac, Hôtel Restaurant Le Lion d'Or is 10 km from Gironde estuary and 20 km from Saintes. It offers contemporary rooms with an LCD TV and free Wi-Fi access. “A lovely little hotel in a nice town that was very well priced”
The room was extremely comfortable and clean, the shower was very good. The property was clean and well maintained. Car parking is easy and the location is excellent. The food and wine in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. The staff are pleasant and despite my poor French they provided all that we needed.

“Great value quiet hotel with super friendly host.”
Quiet, spacious, clean room in quiet village. The owner was super helpful including booking us into a nearby pizzeria because the hotel restaurant wasn’t open. We felt very well looked after.

“Exceptional find, definitely recommended!”
Every so often you find a gem of a hotel. This was just off the motorway, which was ideal as we were on-route to Spain. We arrived late at about 8pm. The welcome was so friendly. We asked if the restaurant was still open? The reply, "We have been waiting for you".... The restaurant was superb, we both had the steak tartare - to die for! Easy to park just outside. Nice breakfast in the morning. Room was clean, bathroom/shower modern. Just wish we were in the area more often.

“Relaxing stay”
Our room was large, clean, and comfortable and equipped with air-conditioning and a fantastic shower. The village is a lovely peaceful place to stay. The manager, Pierre, is very good at his job and speaks excellent English. He and his team are all friendly and hard-working. The bar was frequented by locals, which is always a good sign. The food was very good, particularly the starters. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

It was pleasant, staff young and very helpful and efficient. It was used by local people young and old, we were made welcome there was a wedding in the beautiful church in the centre just opposite the logis. The meal was excellent value for money even though the staff were catering for a birthday party in the courtyard. Very pleased
