“The most welcoming stay in Iceland – feels like home”
Clearly the best stay we had in Iceland. This is a truly lovely house where you immediately feel part of a family. We were delighted by the warm reception and the cozy, homely atmosphere. The location by the lake is stunning, offering beautiful views. In summer there are many midges, which can be a bit annoying, but that’s the trade-off for such a scenic lakeside setting. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped—you’ll find everything you need, and even some thoughtful extras like coffee and pasta left for guests. It really felt like staying at our grandparents’ home, full of comfort and warmth. A very strong recommendation, especially if you are traveling as a family. We absolutely loved it.

“Excellent location and nice feel to the property.”
Excellent well cared for lakeside property with excellent views from the balcony. It felt like we were staying in some-ones well maintained and loved property - of this i felt certain and one could not help but wonder about the number of happy years the family either lived in or visited this property.

Big house with enough space for all people. Big fridge (but without a freezer) Exceptionally equipped kitchen (also with a food processor!), but the kitchen is not the newest Nice interior fittings

“Loved Myvo the old farm, such a memorable stay.”
The very comfortable home from home, accommodation. Plenty of space for four people to spread out and enjoy the view across the lake. The close proximity to the amazing geological sites was a real bonus. The laundry facilities were excellent and we made good use of them.

The house is very well kept with beautiful antiques. The view of myvatn lake from the house is stunning. The house has a well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed our stay in the house.

The house is very well kept, although we stepped back in time with interior from the 60's everything felt clean and in good condition. The pictures did not do the rooms justice, they are better than they look. A modern spacious bathroom with washing and dryer was perfect to do some laundry. The location by the water is idyllic and the hosts are welcoming and hospitable.
