With spectacular views of the Geiranger Fjord and its surrounding mountains, Westerås Gard offers an in-house restaurant and accommodation options with private kitchen facilities. Central Geiranger is 4 km away. All accommodation options have a TV, sofa and a private bathroom with shower. Apartments and cottages have a private terrace. The in-house restaurant is set in a 17th-century barn building, and offers meals and panoramic views of Geiranger. Meals can be enjoyed on the terrace in nice weather. Storseterfossen Waterfall, a waterfall you can walk behind, is a 45-minute hike from the family-owned Westerås Gard.

Great views, spacious, comfortable, felt like a home away from home. The restaurant was lovely, with lots of interesting antiques on display. We did our own cooking but it was cool to look around. The menu looked delicious. We enjoyed the goats and sheep grazing nearby on the hillside, and the hikes. And loved the grassy roof.

We had a wonderful stay at Westeras Gard! The cottage was absolutely adorable – cozy, charming, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The scenery around the property was simply breathtaking, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. The location was also ideal for exploring the surrounding area and discovering all the beautiful sights nearby. Overall, we were completely satisfied with everything and would love to come back again!

The view from the cabin was fantastic. The drive up the driveway was a bit scary because it’s one lane. We had all the amenities we needed.

Nice spot with authentic atmosphere. Near to Geiranger, but avoiding heavy turist traffic. Hiking trails nearby. Local food restaurant on the spot. Helpful service.

“Gem high up the Valley with hikes, views and a restaurant”
Fantastic location with views surrounded by beautiful hikes & llamas. Very Quiet. Due to the weather you need hiking shoes/boots as ground is wet. We had dinner in the restaurant, the food was really delicious. The carpark had an EV charging point. The cabin is good value for money however not modern. Linen and cleaning are extra however we did our own cleaning.

“Perfect stay at a beautiful location!”
Fantastic stay! Spent 3 nights there, hiking and exploring the area. Terrific views and the location avoids the large cruise crowds from the city. Also had a fantastic meal there. The staff was excellent. I highly recommend staying here!
