I booked massively off season in late May. For that reason this hotel was cheap. Geilo was effectively closed but there were a few places open and the hotel was fully staffed and excellent value. I’m sure some will pay much more and find less value. But for me, this was a real treat with super friendly staff.

“Lovely stay - Wanted to stay longer”
The staff upon checking were fantastic & very accomodating. Breakfast was wonderful & the bed & room comfortable. It's an older hotel but we loved the charm of it all. Wanted to stay longer.

“Lovely hotel”
Perfect location, close to the station. Historical vibes, very fascinating interior design. Lovely pool and fire corners. Fun at dine & bowl. Excellent breakfast.

Staff was not so attentive or helpful. Ice cold floor in the bathroom (deluxe room) and room was cold. Have feeling that hotel is trying to save money on wrong things (good staff and heating) Stay away from the hotel restaurant, breakfast is nice but we went one night to the restaurant for dinner because they have okey wine list but food was horrible.

“Thoroughly enjoyable stay great location”
The hotel is ideally located within a short walk from the station it has a lovely view across Geilo with easy access to the slopes from the rear of the hotel. We stayed in a standard double room facing the internal courtyard which was fine The room was large and the bathroom was small but had everything we needed Excellent breakfast Would highly recommend staying here…we will definitely be back
