Overview
Located at the popular Geilo Ski Resort, this hotel offers traditional Norwegian food and wine tasting in the cellar. Leisure options include an indoor pool and large indoor playground. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms at Bardøla Høyfjellshotell. Each room has satellite TV, while some also include a balcony. Staff can help arrange ski passes to the Slaatta Ski Centre, which is 900 metres away. After a day in the slopes, guests can enjoy a game of billiards in Bardøla’s bar. “Great facilities but our room was not what we expected”
Great when travelling with kids - plenty of family-friendly facilities: pool, games and play area. Breakfast (not included in price) was good with a diverse buffet (except for rather poor fruit). The beds are comfy.

“Great base for XC ski week!”
We wanted a base which allowed for self-catering while having the facilities of a hotel. This was perfect for that, with a great studio / kitchenette set up and good access to ski slopes with the SkiBus. If you know this area already, it’s perfect. We would have appreciated a bit more staff presence / help about renting skis and where to get started, but generally a good experience. Definitely can’t fault the facilities which were great.

Lovely and spacious apartment in a good location. Fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms (one with bunkbeds for kids), two bathrooms. Nice restaurant downstairs as well as bakery and on-the-go coffee, etc. Walkable to Slatta Ski school.

“Great stay but with room for improvement”
Great location. We endured some trouble with the reservation/communication. It seemd the hotel was understaffed and therefore having difficulties resolving the issues. Same at the resstaurant where after an hour waiting they came tot the conclusion that the order was forgotten. Another thing: we stayed in one of the cabins/tiny houses during a national norwegian holiday where a large group of people found in necessary to throw a party. After some insistence the hotel night staf was able tot end the party around 01:30. We had a great stay the year before with none of the issues above but because of the obive I am hesitent to book another stay.
