“This room completely ruined our vacation in Gatlinburg”
I paid a total of 193 US dollars for this room, and I expected a comfortable and clean place. Unfortunately, the room was far below our expectations. The kitchen had fingerprints on the sides and was not clean. When I opened the drawer, the smell of old dirt and uncleanliness kept me away from the cutlery. The bathroom had mold everywhere, and even though we paid extra for the whirlpool, we did not use it because it seemed old (and because of the mold on the ceiling). On the windows, there were cockroach skeletons. My husband almost broke his leg because a wooden piece on the floor was loose. We left earlier than planned and did not use anything at all because the room disgusted us. If I had paid 50 dollars, I wouldn’t complain, but we paid a lot of money and expected a much better room. The location was great and we loved the balcony with the view of the river! We also loved seeing wild bears multiple times during our two day stay!! It was very exciting. The room was clean, the staff was nice and helpful, and we also enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

I liked that we were in a quiet area. I liked the size of the family cabin (3 bedrooms with 2 pullout couches in the living room, 2 bathrooms room 505) that we had a full kitchen, TVs in every room with satellite service, plenty of beds and bedding for cold mountain nights, and that we had heat and air conditioning. The pool and hot tub were great!

“Cute classic motel stay!”
We had a great experience at this location, where we saw bears almost every night during our stay. The chairs on the balcony were perfect for enjoying a hot drink in the evening while a neighbor enjoyed a campfire. The accommodation provided an ample supply of towels, a good-sized fridge, and a clean microwave. I believe it's an ideal spot since it's not on the main street, yet it's only a 5 to 10-minute walk away. The main street was extremely busy, so it was nice to have the option to go in and out of that easily, while also enjoying the peaceful surroundings. There is a free bus service in the area, although we chose to use our car for trips further out. Parking around the area can be quite expensive, so having free parking at the accommodation was a significant advantage.

“Great location, highly recommend”
Great location within easy walking distance of Gatlinburg main strip. Also only a short drive to Pigeon Forge & Dollywood. Plenty of free parking. Check very easy. Large room facing the river/creek. Room was very clean & beds comfortable. We saw bears daily walking around the property, but not in a threatening way at all. Leave them alone & they’ll leave you alone so you can enjoy watching them in their natural environment. Would highly recommend staying at Carr’s
