“An apartment to return to on our next trip to Garmisch”

Well maintained, quiet apartment on the ground floor with a big garden. The kitchen was well equipped and the house was well located for walking into town.

Alpenhof Garnihotel is a family-run property, so do not expect there will be a 24/7 on-duty staff. It will take you 15-20 minutes walk to get there from Garmisch Partenkirchen main station. However, I had a very pleasant stay there: a neat room with a comfortable bed, a nice balcony, and a clean private bathroom. The hotel felt like home and I loved the quiet and calm atmosphere around there. The hotel provided me with a clear description of the late check-in procedure & very responsive to answer my requests/questions thru direct messages.

Top floor double room with balcony was comfortable and spacious - with a nice view. Bed was comfortable. Walk in shower had strong water pressure and plenty of hot water, basic shower gel provided. Decent hairdryer. We also appreciated the large bottle of complementary water and little chocolates on the pillows. Room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was OK but nothing special – standard continental choice of ham, cheese, spreads, yoghurts. Only filter coffee was served and hard boiled eggs.

“Welcoming, warm and bright family run hotel”

Nice, family run hotel. Clean, cosy rooms, friendly staff, comfy beds. Good basic breakfast, lovely soft rolls. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and the ski lifts. Just what we wanted!

The room was clean, the staff was polite, everything was fine.

We got room on the top floor. It was cozy and warm, with balcony and view on the mountains. Breakfast was simple, but everything was fresh and well served. A bit far away from train station or city center, so you would need to walk c.a 20 mins one way.

Nice staff, good breakfast, clean and comfortable room. 20mn walk from Garmisch-Partenkirchen central station and located in a quiet area. 100% recommend.

The hotel was clean, quiet and the room was cosy. the rooms had their own toilet and a balcony with a view of the mountains. The hotel was in a quiet area with quick access to the outdoor areas. We had a great time there and will definitely come again in the future!

The room was incredibly clean and nice, the staff were SO helpful too. Thanks for everything folks!

It's our second stay in the hotel and I'm sure we will come back again. The location of the hotel is very convenient. Super close to the lifts, train station and ski lifts. The staff is always friendly and ready to help. Nice breakfast. It's pet friendly hotel that was very important for us.

Very clean and uncluttered. Breakfast good (I like German/Austrian rolls!) The balconies front and back would be a nice bonus in summer, I imagine. Staff very obliging when I asked for a second pillow; also helped me with luggage to taxi.
