Seeing the whales from the lovely terrace while in the whirlpool sipping a glass of wine was just pure magic! The house is amazing and offers everything your heart desires. Check in and out were super easy and accommodating. Incredibly friendly hosts.

The location is the best feature. Close second is the hot tub on the balcony. We loved every bit of time we spent at the house. We would've loved to have it for the weekend too. The self catering equipment is of high quality. The enterinment room in the basement is awesome if you are in a bigger company. The whales are playing along so nicely as long as one keeps looking at the ocean.

The property is well located right by the coastline with views to die for! Perfect for a year round getaway with an amazing hot tub that is sea facing. Sunset sundowners are picture perfect..not to mention the amazing fireplace perfect for a cold winter’s night, lovely views from the fireplace aswell!

The location. It’s all about the location. Gansbaai itself is a nice little town; very peaceful and doesn’t feel too “touristy”. The view from the large balcony is amazing. Garage to park your car. Comfortable bedrooms. Lots of shared space. Indoor and outdoor brais.

Very friendly and welcoming reception with great information on the area. The view of the property was amazing! Well equipped house with everything you might need! Couldn't be better! Will visit again!

A fabulous house, Right at the beach. The house was super clean and had many opportunities for a braai, also games and other activities for a longer stay. Restaurants within walking distance.

Clean, neat, well equipped, aircon in each room, great entertainment space, fantastic view, comfortable rooms, three bathrooms, complete kitchen, safety and security with alarms and beams. Loved everything.

The house was spacious and very nicely decorated. Plenty of beach towels. Right opposite the sea….sound of the waves so beautiful! Every room had an aircon which was a plus.

One of the best, neatest, true to the information supplied, wonderfully decorated accommodations we have stayed in during all the years of travelling within the Western Cape Region. This is a must for any person/s that wish to experience comfort, away from the city and simply relax. The hosts were absolutely wonderful with the check in process as well as the check out process along with providing assistance whenever we required advice on one or other service. We can truly recommend this facility to anyone to include international tourists and local holiday makers. We truly appreciated and enjoyed our stay at Casa Balena! The location of the house is amazing! Set in a very peaceful locality, we could spot the whales sitting right at our balcony. It’s a very pretty and well equipped house.
