Overview
Newly opened in January of 2018, St. John’s Hotel is located along Gangmun Beach in Gangneung. The hotel houses over 1000 guest rooms and suites as well as a seasonal infinity pool, banquet facilities and restaurants. All units at St. John’s are equipped with a flat-screen satellite TV, a desk, a seating area with a coffee table and a small fridge. You will also find an electric kettle and wine glasses. Private bathroom includes a walk-in shower and free toiletries. American breakfast buffet is available every day at Oh! Crab Restaurant. Freshly baked goods, coffee and desserts are available at ANGPANG lobby lounge all day. Gyeonpo Beach and Songjeong Beach are within 1 km from St. John’s Hotel. Gangneung KTX Station is under a 10-minute drive away.

“Wonderful room and friendly staff!”
Spacious and great room, with good facilities inside the hotel and a great location right by the beach. Lots to do around, we only stayed for one night but I think it would be a good spot for a longer stay too. The highlight here were really the staff - super friendly and professional to a degree that stood out compared to some other places I've stayed at!

The hotel is situated away from city center in a calm beach area. I was there during less warm period with some windy days so no sea bathing for me. But calming environment with nice views. I was especially found of the pine forest between the hotel and the beach. Lots of people are bringing their dogs to the hotel.

“I like going to this place off season. We will usually be there May or September. Great for families with kids and dogs.”
Perfect location right on a beautiful beach with a very nice pine forest that offers shade in hot sunny days and is just lovely to walk through. Food options within walking distance have much increased in the last years to include many places different from raw fish. Food delivery is also widely used. The swimming pool is perfect for kids.

“Very nice location”
The hotel has a very nice location close to the beach. Fantastic view from the room and balcony overlooking the sea and/or the mountains. Nice and clean rooms with comfortable beds. Good bars with nice food located in the hotel.

“Fantastic stay with ocean view and delicious breakfast!!”
Amazing ocean view and we oved the pine forest right before the beach (which was super clean and 3mins from the hotel!). The breakfast is fantastic, you must try it!!!

Room was very comfortable. Nice views of mountains out the back. Short walk to a nice beach with coffee shops and restaurants.
