Overview
Tenuta Sant'Ilario is immersed in the Chianti countryside, among vineyards and olive groves. This stone-wall villa features a restaurant and refined rooms, apartments and villas. “Beautiful authentic Tuscan stay - with a car”
This is such a magical place in the Tuscan country side - it has stunning views, a beautiful pool area for hot days and a stunning breakfast. Our bedroom was by die pool area, very charming with authentic Tuscan charm, and comfortable bed, fridge and coffee station, modern shower and close to the breakfast room. There was a transfer shuttle available to take us to town for dinner and back again If you stay here on a night that the restaurant is open it is stunning

From check in to leaving i dont think we met one member of staff who werent exceptional. The rooms were perfect and absolutely spotless. The pool was a very welcome addition after walking Via Francicega. The food and service was beautiful.

Lovely peaceful location. The building was characterful and situated beautifully in its setting. The restaurant staff were excellent and made us feel very welcome. It also made a nice contrast to some of the more town based hotels along the Via Francigena

I felt immediately relaxed being here. The atmosphere and space is lovely. We felt very welcome and our stay was comfortable. The breakfast was incredible (see pic!) & we loved the trattoria and poolside experience.

“Classic Tuscan farmhouse atmosphere in beautiful landscape”
This was just the type of place we wanted - a converted Tuscan farmhouse in the heart of Chianti to relax for 3 nights after visiting various cities in Tuscany. It was nestled in vineyards and olive groves. It had a nice rustic atmosphere, but was very comfortable. In addition to the spacious and pleasant accommodation, the hotel has a nice restaurant serving breakfast and dinners, which was essential for us as we did not have a car. The nearest village is about a 30 min walk to the centre, but this is using a track which is quite steep (up and down) in places. All fine if you like a bit of trekking; and in fact there are a series of good trek routes to follow in the local area. Just remember, there’s no such thing as flat ground in this area though!! The hotel also includes a good sized outdoor pool with very refreshing water and nice to swim in. It is set in a beautiful olive grove, with plenty of sun loungers scattered around pool and garden. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would recommend to anyone wanting a place in the beautiful Tuscan countryside away from the busy towns and cities.
