We had a wonderful stay and would especially like to thank the uncle who looked after us. His hospitality, kindness, and warm welcome made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. He was always helpful, friendly, and genuinely cared about our comfort. His positive attitude and excellent service made our trip even more memorable. Highly recommended, and we would love to visit again!

“A super host”

We had a great stay at The Tide’s Tale. Ajith was very welcoming, kind, helpful and interesting to talk to. Our room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed, plenty of hot water and excellent WiFi. Our breakfast, cooked by Ajith, was delicious! The location is good- we easily walked to Galle from the property but buses and tuk tuks are available just outside the gate.

Absolutely clean, the host is very friendly and cooked delicious breakfast.

The host Ajith was the sweetest man ever and took care of us plenty. The room was clean with functioning AC. Breakfast was fantastic!

Ajith was the kindest & most accommodating host we had in Sri Lanka! Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our room was on the smaller side but nothing to complain about, lovely & clean and bed very comfortable. Location is on a busy road directly across from a nice beach. We were able to easily get a tuktuk into Galle fort. Would definitely recommend here to others!

Uncle Ajitj is really a amazing person, made me feel so welcome and taken care of..and as a female solo traveler this truly is appreciated. He helped me organise the commute to my next destination, made me the most amazing breakfast with fresh fruit from his garden and gave me a lot of information and tips about Sri Lanka that I still carry with me. The room was spotless in every aspect, super clean, comfortable, new and fresh. This truly added up to the blissful feeling of arriving in a safe and welcoming place.

“A must stay in Galle”

EVERYTHING!! Ajith, I have to say is an amazing host. The tips he gave were so valuable, from how to hold my bag to booking tuk tuk from the pick me app. The facilities are so clean and the bed is so nice. The mosquito 🦟 net made a massive difference. Water is also available on arrival. The air conditioning is on so when you arrive its so nice and cool. Bedside lamp and overhead light switch and an additional fan which is clean. Hot water is avaliable and extra cleaning is given if needed including fresh towels. Breakfast, he is so generous with the amounts given you have to say stop. Ajith also arranged a water safar (extra but well worth it!)i and came along to explain all the different types of nature, perfect for the 1st Jan and my first one abroad let alone in Sri Lanka Location is approx 10 mins by tuk tuk, hypermarket 3 mins walk away and there is a local restaurant where the portions are generous. I like to travel and can only but recommend this hotel to visit when you are in Galle Thank you

This is truly a gem. It is the best stay we’ve had in all Sri Lanka. Also the best sleep and best shower i’ve had here. Ajith is truly the kindest person as well. We had some great conversations with him, a great breakfast and also received a tour in the garden.

very clean

Another was a great host from beginning to end. Not only was the room perfect - clean and comfortable with all the facilities we needed - but breakfast was delicious and Ajith was very helpful. He even went to the train station to check if trains were running for us on the morning of our departure. I would recommend this property to anyone staying in Galle. It was great

“Marvelous! Book it, great owner and spotlessly clean!”

The place is marvelous. The owner is very nice, I had the best breakfast in Sri Lanka here. He is very attentative. There is only one room and it was absolutely clean and comfortable. Bonus is the nice bathroom. It is very well maintained, the bed is good, AC and WiFi work perfectly.

Ajith was a very kind and gracious host. He really looked after us and always gave ussome useful tips regarding transport. His breakfast was legendary with a wild array of choices. Overall highly recommend this place as it was cosy clean and close to the beach.

Lovely host who helps with everything, makes great breakfast and gave us lots of good tips. The location is a bit outside the main area of Galle but by tuk tuk it’s a 5 minute drive and costs only around 300 rupees. The room was the most clean we have seen in 3 weeks Sri Lanka and perfectly fine.
