“What an experience”

We had a wonderful stay at Wild Glamping. The staff were incredibly helpful, warm and friendly throughout. The location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by beautiful farmland and nature everywhere you look. The food was delicious and freshly prepared, adding even more to the experience. A truly special place with a peaceful atmosphere — highly recommended!

“Perfect location for natural peace and quiet, and historic Sri Lanka.”

Thank you to all the team at Wild Glamping Gal Oya, including the Veddhas. As someone who never liked camping as a kid, i booked WG with a little trepidation. But it was a fantastic destination, the staff were so warm and friendly and helpful with tips for other places to visit. Many thanks to Pathum, the Naturalist guide who came on a few excursions with me, and gave me so much historic and educational information. The Veddha jungle walk was the highlight of the stay at WG.

“Amazing nature and facilities but pretentious establishment”

Wonderful facilities and nature. Very confortable rooms with nice decoration. The restaurant offers food of very good quality Great experience doing the boat safari.

The rural location and the beautiful scenery and the ability to wander around the farm area and see the crops and wildlife The staff were very kind and helpful even drying our sodden clothes after the boat safari in the staff dryer

Incredible location, very much out in nature! Got to see some amazing wildlife from the site itself. Food was incredible and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

“Stunning glamping experience”

Huge beautiful tent with extremely comfy bed. The bathroom was amazing, hot outdoor shower. The lodge is set in gorgeous grounds. Fab pool!

The place is amazing. In the middle of nowhere a peaceful spot to relax and recharge energy. The rooms are very nice (the bathroom is amazing!) the swimming pool is great and the restaurant is tasty. Staff is lovely

Very pleasant tents with great bathrooms, sweet dogs on the property, tasty food (could be a bit more spicy), friendly staff, nice pool.

“Away from it all in comfort”

The hotel is in a rural location not far from Gal Oya National Park. The facility is beautiful, with roomy palm-frond roofed tents; private, open-air washrooms, and air-conditioning. The bar/dining and pool areas are lovely. Food is excellent, well-cooked and professionally presented. Much of the vegetables and fruit come directly from their adjacent farm. There is a range of excursions. I enjoyed very much meeting the local Vedda leaders and learning about their culture and the challenges they face in today’s world. Staff are warm and friendly, and very, very helpful. After booking, all of my many, many questions were patiently answered promptly! We went on almost every excursion; our favorite was the boat safari, followed by spending time with the Vedda. The very, very best thing tho is the quiet. For most of the day all you hear are the birds and the wind. So peaceful.

“Wow! Absolutely beautiful setting and our favourite destination in Sri Lanka”

Our favourite place in Sri Lanka! It is stunning. The staff are fantastic, the facilities clean and comfortable and the setting is idyllic. Absolutely worth every dollar (admittedly more expensive than most accommodation we stayed in, but you get what you pay for). We had a fantastic hike up to Monkey Rock with the resort’s naturalist and a boat safari that was worth it for the views alone (abundant bird life, elephants and an impressive Peacock display). Our tent was clean and comfortable and cooled down nicely at night. It had A/C, but we only needed it for about 20 min to cool the tent down after dinner.

“Lovely tents and food and lots of activities”

Amazing location in the jungle with lovely tents! Food was very very good and it was very quiet when we were there. Very good amount of activities possible.

We spent 2 night and we did a Safari. What a great hotel! The tent is very spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They were so nice for the kids. The surroundings are beautiful. We can highly recommend this hotel

The best place we stayed in Sri Lanka, the staff were excellent and really knowledgeable about the land, the wildlife and the plants, they made us feel so welcome and seemed to work really well as a team to ensure everyone had a great stay. They really focus on sustainability for example not using plastic bottles and providing fantastic local food. The glamping site is beautiful and always immaculate, the bathroom is large, the beds are comfy and there's aircon in the tents! We would love to come back.

A really beautiful place with exceptional people. We enjoyed two safaris which were excellent. The food is outstanding. A highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka.

This is a sensational property in a wonderful location close to Gal Oya NP. Every single staff member were brilliant. Friendly, attentive, informative and nothing too much trouble . The swimming pool is an excellent way to finish off the afternoon, the food was incredible . Thank you all at Wild Glamping for a memorable stay

The location is beautiful and the focus on sustainability including local Indigenous people who work there was lovely. Food was excellent often grown on site and the staff, all the staff were exceptionally good . The water safari was incredible
