The property was very well set up considering the location. There were rain jackets, hiking boots, backpacks and other outdoor equipment available for rent. The staff were very kind and helpful. The bedding and bathrooms were clean comfortable and well maintained.

Decent Location, overall good place to stay. Clean and tidy. The bunk/dorm rooms were secure, quiet, and comfy. I'd stay again.

“Great place to stay in Fukushima”

It’s cleanliness, the bedding (the electric blanket made the bed toasty) and, the staff kindness and the location. I didn’t, but it’s possible to rent electric bicycles too.

Best hostel ever!!! First of all, the atmosphere is spectacular with its industrial style, creating a clean and minimalistic vibe that just feels invigorating! The thoughtful touches for customers are truly impressive—complimentary skin care products (including cleansing makeup remover), hair bands, and even hair styling tools from MUJI! These details really elevate the comfort level. The bedrooms are super cozy, and there's a spacious common area and dining space on the first floor that is perfect for working or chatting with friends. It's such a great place to hang out! And let me tell you about the breakfast—it's absolutely fantastic! I can't recommend it enough! There aren't many spots nearby that serve a good breakfast early in the morning, so don't miss out. The prices are incredibly reasonable, and you can indulge in delicious Hong Kong-style French toast, berry yogurt, fresh salad, and tasty drinks. The owner has traveled all over the world, which gives his cooking an authentic flair that you simply have to experience. Plus, he is super friendly and speaks perfect English, so you won’t have to worry about a language barrier at all!

It is a good place for a one-night stay, with very friendly staff and a very safe environment. The location is also very convenient

“A high bar for hostel experiences”

The whole building felt light, spacious and clean. The bunk I had was comfortable and comparatively spacious, with enough room for my suitcase and backpack inside (bear in mind I'm over 2m tall, so this is no mean feat). The staff member I spoke to was friendly and helpful, and the toilet and shower were all great.

A great place to stay, perfect location in the middle of the city centre. Good facilities and clean. The owner is amazing, great English and understanding of visitors coming from being a world traveler himself. He's probably visited your country too. Helped me with recommendations, in the area and the next places I wanted to visit. And as a Dutchie, being able to rent a bike here at the hostel itself was a big plus too.

“Great place for a shirg stay”

The room was lovely, clean and well stocked with all you could need. The breakfast was delicious and the staff really friendly and helpful.

The owner was very nice and willing to help, he even gave me a new charger for my phone because mine was broken. I recommend this place !!

Great Location, comfy bed and very friendly owner. Offers bike rental in case you wanna go up to the volcano, which I can only recommend doing!

“Great accommodation!”

I booked the female dorm for one night. La Union is well located - close to the station and with many shops and bars nearby. The staff is really friendly and also proficient in English. I even forgot my hand towel in my room the morning I checked out but they were so kind and placed it on my luggage in the locker (you can store your luggage in a locker before check-in or after check-out). Everything was also really clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay!

The hosts were really friendly. We had a lot of space in the dorm, also only a 10 minute walk to the station. One of the best hostels we stayed in.

“A friendly, well-organised hotel at a reasonable price”

The staff here were extremely welcoming and understanding, and the hotel itself was very good value. I had a bed in the mixed dorm (4 beds) and it was very accommodating. My bed had a heated blanket which, while I didn't require it, was still a lovely option to have. The toilets, bathroom and bedroom were clean and well organised, and there was enough space for my bags. I am very grateful to the reception staff for allowing me to leave my bag for a few hours while I went to a temple on the edge of the city, and upon my return they were even curious about my visit; the staff seemed invested in their guests and really go the extra mile. :)
