HILLTOP RESORT FUKUOKA is modern designer accommodation with a spa and a spacious public bath. It is situated on the peaceful hill looking over Fukuoka’s downtown. The hotel offers both Japanese-style rooms with traditional futon bedding and rooms with Western beds. Facilities like flat-screen TV, fridge and toiletries are provided in all rooms. Beautiful hotel at the hilltop overlooking Fukuoka. Very nice Japanese rooms, big and nice views. Great onsen. Nice restaurant, tried the bbq, and good breakfast.

The resort shuttle bus made the remote hilltop location more accessible. The shuttle left on the hour during the week and every 30 minutes on the weekend. It stopped at two locations: the second one being the main HAKATA train station.

“Fabulous!”
Excellent location. Wonderfully calm atmosphere. Breakfast enormous, healthy and delicious. Staff very helpful and respectful. A really wonderful stay.

We loved this hotel and will definitely visit again next time. We stayed in a Japanese tatami room, which was very spacious—perfect for our two young kids to run around. The hotel also has a public bath with an onsen, and we enjoyed going there every day.

I was tired after a day of sight seeing and wanted to check in earlier to have a nap. I was charged 3000 yen extra which is not something I’ve ever heard of before or expected. So this definitely made me feel like my trip was a bit more expensive that it could’ve been or initially advertised.

“A tranquil stay within Fukuoka city”
The hotel is located on the top of a hill! We love the tranquility. Apart from the comfortable room (photos were accurate to what was shown online), there were public spaces to explore and it was lovely. We opted for the halfboard which includes dinner (omakase) and breakfast. We love the food! The dining space was amazing too! All the staff were kind and made us feel very welcomed. We also received a small gift for our anniversary stay.
