“Would LOVE to return to stay again!”

Spotlessly clean, very charmingly decorated, warm and friendly hosts (thanks Katrina!) tucked away in a quiet street not far from a really good viewing point of Mt Fuji. It’s full of board games and art n craft material, a warm crackling fireplace, Katrina cooked such a lovely dinner for us, breakfast was so yummy too! We saw so many birds just out the breakfast window.

Everything was perfect... The host Katrina is amazing. She did some transfers for us station-pension-bike park-pension-station. We also ordered a homemade dinner that was very nice. We had a great talk to better understand the reality of Japan. Was great!

Great location in the Highlands. Very warm welcome from Katrina to her delightful property. Meals were very good, the beds were comfortable and it was great to have a long chat with Katrina and the other guests over dinner and breakfast.

“Home away from Home”

We wanted to do a BBQ, so we bought some meat from a store close to Kobuchizawa and grilled it there. The BBQ costs 1500yen per person and they give you some delicious potatoes and coleslaw salad plus some very good chicken and other veggies with a great Brazilian sauce (sorry, forgot the name of it). You can get a bottle of wine for 750yen as well. Plus, we got a complimentary ticket to the close-by Onsen which was great too. The rooms aren't big, but you will only be sleeping there and spending the rest of the time in the dining or living room playing board games or watching the fish. The breakfast was excellent too. Some eggs, bread, bacon, and sausages. We had a blast talking to the hosts and they couldn't be any friendlier. I loved every second of it. I totally recommend this place!

“I already miss kobuchizawa”

Katrina was a great host, she prepared really delicious vegetarian meals for us, actually we really eat too much :) She was also very kind and spend lots of time with us to give information about the neighborhood and answered all of our questions in detail. The house is literally just in the woods and we loved the area. It was really one of our best stays in Japan. Thank you for everything.
