“An unforgettable experience!!!”

Absolutely everything!!! The hospitable hosts, the location, the view from the window, the wonderful dinner from the chef. We had a massage. The comfortable, modern new house has all the amenities. It's a shame we only stayed one night!

“Secluded luxury in the Japanese wilderness”

Everything. The property is beautiful, tucked into the woods with a magical view over the lake and whisper quiet. Everything inside the property is luxurious, from the soft koala mattresses in the bedrooms, large beautiful bathrooms with everything stocked and then open plan upstairs living are with super comfy lounge, designer kitchen, sauna, outdoor bath and latest tech in sound and tv. The best part about our trip was hands down the hospitality, our greeting when we first arrived at the property, house warm and Fuji tea made. Local guides met us for an early morning walk up the mountain behind the property to see the best sunrise view of Fuji on a secluded track, with hot chocolate and brownies at the summit while watching the sunrise and a family of deers joining us on the hike, a must do if you are staying at the property. The property would be perfect for 2 families but equally as perfect for just one, we were a family of 4 (kids aged 9 and 11). So thankful we found norm air, this was the highlight of our trip to Japan, only wish we could have stayed longer. Great for a relaxation break in the wilderness between busy Tokyo and a week of skiing.

“Perfect Stay!”

One of the most beautiful residences from our entire stay in Tokyo, fully equipped with amenities, offering free-flow drinks and snacks, impeccably clean, with very friendly staff.

We spent (unfortunately only) one night here to celebrate my husband's birthday. The concierge coordinated a birthday cake in advance and left it in the fridge for us (cleverly in a bottom drawer so my husband didn't see it until I retrieved it). The location is beautiful. It feels very private but not isolated. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet and absolutely loved staring out the large windows at the forest and lake. The beds are SO comfortable! When we were leaving in the morning we were lucky enough to see a small group of deer grazing in the garden. It was a beautiful way to end our much-too-short stay. We will definitely be back!

“A beautiful retreat in Kawaguchi”

Amazing experience. The host and his team made us feel welcome and at home. They went the extra mile to make our stay special. We were pampered and surprised in many different ways. Dinner was a highlight for our trip. Our host prepared the most memorable meal. Also, they helped us book at a traditional and delicious restaurant for lunch and they gave us the best advice for sight seeing. I would absolutely go back and enjoy one more weekend in this beautiful place. Every member of our family was impressed with the level of care and kindness from the host and his team during our stay.

Property was luxurious with high end material throughout and full amenities including unlimited full on kitchen with beer on tap, breakfast provided fresh each morning, a home cinema for your raining days and even a sauna to relax after hiking.

“Fantastic Stay”

The facilities at norm. air are superb. They are modern and meticulously designed. The hosts are helpful and very attentive. He called us because we were checking in late than scheduled. Every details were explained. Dinner and breakfast were thoroughly prepared and pre-cooked. We just had to buy few things from the supermarket and finish them our ways. Four kinds of beer, and snacks, were complimentary and free flow. Bedrooms and bathrooms are big and well furnished. Surrounding view of woods was great but the weather wasn't very good when we were there. We could see Lake Kawaguchi from afar. Too bad there is no channel to upload my photos in this review.
