We had a really nice stay for one night at yoko. The owner was very friendly and offered free breakfast and she also runs the next door restaurant where we had a wonderful Chinese dinner. The atmosphere is very family-like. If you are in the area, you should definitely stop by.

very near location to the station, cozy and has really friendly owner. Really would suggest to stay here.

Breakfast is good

This is a family style inn, the host is a Chinese woman she can speak Chinese with us , easy to communicate. The house and room very clean, tiny but comfortable. Yoko's san provide free breakfast (bread, vegetable, coffee). Yoko's san she cooks very very well, is chinese mix japanese style dinner, u must need to try it. U can listen the story from her, many interesting story ~ She is a very hard working boss!

It was well located near the port and Yoko , the owner could not have been more helpful. She was very kind, organised a rental car for us and was constantly trying to help despite her busy workload.

Very conveniently placed place close to the port. The rooms were very comfortable and the host helped me a lot. The accomodation also runs a nice Izakaya where you can go. Would like to come again!

Great location. Meticulously clean. Comfortable bed. Simple breakfast provided. It's a shared house with the host and other travellers. Don't expect hotel services. Instead, respect, behave and communicate. The host is awesome if you follow her rules, which are reasonable.

“Fawlty Towers Shodoshima style”

Very basic, clean. There's Chinese food, if you don't mind waiting 2 hours for the food, and 2 hours for the bill, and trusting the prices on the menu. The owner says she's hardworking and takes care of the property. She allowed me to store my bicycle in the inner courtyard. If you're tolerant of weird mental issues, you could stay here.

Yoko's place is brilliant and she's a great cook - just as well as they're nowhere esle to eat in the part of town....

Good facilities, good price, good location: no complaints.

I reserved a room last minute and the owner welcomed me very nicely. She made it a very comfortable stay for me. I'm glad I made changes to my schedule since it gave me a chance to stay there. Highly recommend if you are traveling on your own for a quick cheap stay.

Nice and warm place to stay while you explore Shodoshima. The host was a very good and kind person.

It is hard to find things I did not like! It is a traditional Japanese restaurant with private rooms to stay. The host is very nice, helped me around the island, drove me with her own car to the nearby viewpoint and also shown some others. Do not be afraid to come in winter, because the AC in heating mode is very efficient.

Yoko was an exceptional host and was incredibly helpful, serving us a well balanced breakfast and going so far as to call us a taxi in the morning. Would highly recommend this ryokan for a stay.
