“Highly recommend”

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Finding the keys and our room was very easy and completely hassle-free. The room was large, bright, and spacious, equipped with everything we needed. It was spotlessly clean, and we appreciated the towels, soap, shower gel, and shampoo provided. One of the highlights was the beautiful mountain stream flowing just outside the window – its soothing sound was incredibly relaxing. The views from the room were absolutely breathtaking. The hotel itself is full of charm and character, and we would be delighted to return in the future. Like many other guests, we were also impressed by the generous and delicious breakfast. The lady who served it was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Great value for money! Spacious rooms which are exceptionally clean. The location is perfect, with a tram right outside that goes into the city. The breakfast was delicious and the staff cannot do enough for you. We will definitely return

Comfortable room with large sitting area and tv. The bathroom was also clean and modern. The location was very convenient and easy to get to the centre of town in about 10 minutes by car. Breakfast was very tasty and a good selection.

Near to the old town, quiet. Free parking and easy check in. Breakfast included and the lady at the breakfast took kindly care of us.

Fabulous cosy hotel in Gunterstal which is linked to central Freiburg by Tram, the journey only takes 15 minutes. We enjoyed the tranquility of Black Forest and the hearty breakfast

The room was very big. We got almost an apartment with two bedrooms and a living room with a cozy sofa and tv. However our biggest surprise was the breakfast. It had everything (coffee, juices, mini croissants, breads, salmon,...) and it was delicious. We also appreciated the free parking spot

“Old style hotel with good travel links to Freiburg”

The hotel is a little old-fashioned but we liked the vibe of somewhat faded grandeur. The hotel manager who greeted us was very friendly and we managed to communicate well despite her lack of English and our lack of German. We had a large room which was great size-wise. We had a car so this hotel worked for us in terms of location and the very nearby tram whizzes you straight into central Freiburg in a few minutes.

Very conveniently located in the outskirts of the town. Tram station to the city is 50m away. Very nice nature around and feeling very safe. The breakfast was very good, no buffet. There is a very nice restaurant also, but not always open. They provide free parking

The female hotel manager was very friendly and helpful, despite our lack of German and her lack of English. The room was large. Shower was good. Good breakfast. We were easily able to park at the hotel. Hotel has air of faded grandeur which we quite liked. Although it caused a little concern initially, our bags were kept for us after check out for a few hours.

The staff was outstanding and included an amazing breakfast!

The hotel was on their day off when we arrived but the instructions for checking in were great and the staff who were there were extremely friendly and helpful. The car park is under the terrace so the car was in the shade. Breakfast was great.

The breakfast is okay. the staff are friendly. Only the bed they were soft. We need hard beds, good for the back after long travelling. A little bit noisy when the guests comes late at night.
