“PLEASANT STAY IN FREIBURG ALTSTADT”
Hotel in historic building close to shops, restaurants, cathedral, market sqaure etc. Tram stop close by takes you to/from rail station. Breakfast a little limited but certainly adequate in variety and quality. My single room was pleasant with a sink and a shower cabinet but shared toilet on the landing. There was a shared modern shower on the landing which might have been better. On second floor - with steep staircases and no lift. I arrived well before check-in and was able to get into my room - thanks!

“Fairly basic, but charming, quaint, clean, friendly, in the historical centre and good-value.”
Delightful old Inn in Oberlinden in sight of the Schwabentor. Not for those who need a lift or don't like old-fashioned rooms, quaint corridors, etc, but perfect for me for a one-night stay, quiet and with really friendly staff. Good value, certainly out of season.

Main strenghts of this kind of medieval 'inn' are location ( in the heart of the old city), very friendly staff, traditional interiors, and moderate but high quality breakfast.

“Comfy Guesthouse in the centre of Freiburg”
The location was excellent and right in the centre of the city. About 20 mins walk from the station, however, the city has an excellent tram system. The room was comfy and you have a radiator to keep warm in the winter. The shared bathroom/toilet was always clean. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was a decent continental style. I also had dinner at the restaurant downstairs which was excellent.

“Good experience ❤️”
We really enjoyed our stay overall. The location is excellent — right in the middle of the historic center, which made everything easy to reach on foot. The hotel has a very cosy, rustic décor, with a warm “Christmas in a small town” feel. Breakfast was delicious, and our room was huge, with plenty of space to store luggage and belongings. Everything was very clean as well.

“Lovely German hotel in the heart of town.”
Lovely hotel in a great location in town. The room was large and clean and breakfast was lovely. Staff were friendly and we couldn’t have asked for anymore.

“Excellent location from which to explore the old town!”
Amazing location, in the old town with easy access to everything. Restaurant right next door was great for dinner, and the hotel served an incredible breakfast. Room was spotless and comfortable, would definitely recommend!
