“A great stay in a very welcoming homely house.”

It is a beautiful old wooden house which was very homely and had a great wood burning stove. It’s in the quiet village of Fredvang, close to the route up Ryten.

“Feels like home”

The place felt really like a home, not just an ordinary place you get for accommodation. It has character, it’s cozy and warm. The house has also a long family history and it can been seen inside. It was clean and tidy and it has all the amenities you’re gonna to need with a fully equipped kitchen. We will definitely prefer it again in the future.

“Very quiet and atmospheric”

The home was very well situated and spacious. It’s close to the Ryten trail and you can easily walk from the house to the trail start.

“Charming old house - totally worth staying there”

The house is actually a wonderful traditional old house, with a nice and functional kitchen and a cosy living room. Everything was clean. We could buy fresh fish, nicely cut and sliced, just 100 m from the house. Short distance to mountain hiking areas (summer). Grocery store few minutes away by car, in Bramberg. Internet was good. Parking possible for one car, just in front of the entrance of the house. Fredvang is situated with easy access by car to the south and the north of Lofoten for daytrips and hiking (summer). All in all we liked it very much, it is a charming old house. Perfect for a family or some friends together as you are able to make and cook your own food daily.

when we arrived the entrance wasn’t cleared from the snow so we had to wait for someone to come remove it. The heating was off so the apartment was cold. The house was cold, the toilet flush valve had been left closed, the toilet is underground while the bedrooms are upstairs. The whole apartment is very old and divided on 3 floors with very steep stairs.
