“Really good stay - reasonably priced & unique”

Stayed in the suite, really liked the privacy feel, given we were in the out-house style section of the hotel. Nice living space and comfortably slept 4 adults, which we were initially worried about.

Fantastic location in the center of the beautiful Old Town. Great breakfast. We stayed in the suite, which was spacious and lovely and had great facilities.

Charming hotel in the middle of Frederiksted old city, in the heart of the old fortress and within walking distance to everything, restaurant and pub included. Nice breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.

A truly lovely old hotel, in an amazing location. The room was small but perfectly formed and bright and cosy! The bathroom again was small, but the shower was excellent, and the toiletries provided were lovely. The bed was very comfortable. The welcome from Synna( sorry if I've misspelt it) was just fabulous. She accompanied us in the car to the parking spot and was so friendly and helpful.The hotel also provided food and drinks in the lobby on an honesty basis ( you wrote down anything you had) and free filter coffee was provided for guests. There were also facilities to prepare a basic meal ( microwave and air fryer) as well as plates and cutlery. The breakfast was excellent and in a beautiful room in a cafe a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Old Fredrickstad was also beautiful. The icing on the cake was finding that Thursday night was jazz night in Tamburen , a local bar. Also, for the unique location, it was excellent value.

The location, close to where we needed to go each day. The breakfast venue was good and very close to the hotel.

A lovely, simply decorated and furnished room with everything I needed, very much in keeping with the historic hotel building and "Old-Town" Fredrikstad location. Very handy for wandering round the old town and for the free ferry to Isegran and the newer town. Lovely patio on the property. Good breakfast buffet in another building just around the corner - awesome furnishings in that room! Free parking was a bonus. Friendly, helpful staff : )

Location was perfect for visiting Fredrikstad, breakfast was good though not included in initial price and taken in a separate establishment maybe 150 m from the hotel

No breakfast

Place was well prepared. however much light in a summer night and no curtains to keep of light and peeping neighbours across the other sides The toilet had problem to flush the second night and second day i had a problem with the internet

The hotel is cosy, atmospheric and very charming. The staff are warm, understanding and helpful.

Perfect location, friendly staff, OK breakfast (additional cost), good shower, a lovely single room. The old town, the one-minute free ferry to the Fredrikstad city, the museum, the cobbled streets, walls and moats.
