The guesthouse was very comfortable, the staff friendly and efficient. Breakfasts were plentiful and cooked well. There was a good variety at breakfast. Something for everyone.

Mont D'Or is an esceptional, charming and delightful guesthouse. The hosts Johannes & Carol were extremely welcoming and friendly who have created an idyllic environment which exudes calm and relaxtion. The guesthouse is ideally situated just off the main street of Franschhoek and from the back gate a 7 minute walk to the wine tram. All of the staff were very attentive. The garden and terrace are a wonderful oasis. the rooms are extremely charming with thoughtful touches. We were a party of 11, including 2 children occupying 5 rooms for 3 nights and all our individual needs were well catered for as was well evidenced by the delicious individually cooked hot breakfast which was served on the terrace. The children particularly enjoyed the swimming pool. Truly our stay more than met all our hopes and expectations and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay.

Great hosts who were very attentive and helped us settle in a give us recommendations. Lovely relaxed atmosphere around the pool and a great location, only a 2min walk from the main road of shops in Franschoek.

“Lovely place to stay and really great location”
Lovely stay- we had the family room with twin beds in loft area upstairs above the main bedroom so gave us a lot of space for the four of us. Ample breakfast selection. Great location only minutes from a huge range of shops, restaurants and bars.
