Clean little house in calm location, easy walk to the castle or upper town, plenty free parking spaces on the streets in 100 meter. Next time we would stay there again.

“Really good value especialy for the size and facilities of a 2 bedroom property”

A surprisingly nice end property on an old farm, possibly stables in the past. There were about 10 properties in a 3 sided square with parking and gardens in between, some were for rent but many others were lived in. We were able to park the car easily at the bottom of the road. The area was very, very quiet. Nearest supermarket and petrol station was about 15 mins walk away on easy resiential roads to the North, there was also a bar/cafe, a boulangerie/patisserie and a Pizza restaurant (Capri) around the supermarket. The walk into town was good exercise, if you go down to the Castle and bars you have to come up again to the High Town shops and, even from here it is then a further walk up to the property. Fougeres is a delightful town with lots and lots to see. The property was a single downstairs room with glass door and opening windows, kitchen was fully equiped and it came with dining table and 4 chairs, a sofa and coffee table. Upstairs the property was much larger, a fully equiped bathroom with excellent shower, a 2nd bedroom with large window, and an enormous main bedroom and very large bed with dual aspect windows - really useful in the heat. Everything was very clean and we had what we needed.
