Wonderful old guest house with lovely period features in rooms. Wonderful friendly host. Excellent communication throughout. Excellent breakfast in beautiful old dining room with stunning views. Faultless. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Central location and views from an historic house with much to tell.

Lovely little guest house, very old world type. We had no TV in our room but other than that a very comfortable stay. Not much parking available.

The hotel is perfectly located, offering a stunning view of the castle that truly makes the stay special. The hospitality was outstanding, warm, welcoming, and genuinely heartfelt from start to finish. We also had breakfast, which was absolutely delicious, served in a truly fairytale-like setting that added even more charm to the experience. The price was surprisingly affordable for the quality offered, which made everything even more enjoyable. A special mention to the receptionist, we understood she is from Venezuela and has only been working here for about two weeks, yet her attitude was absolutely wonderful: kind, warm, and very professional. Although the property could benefit from some maintenance and investment, as parts of it feel a bit dated, this didn’t take away from the overall experiencein the end, everything was simply beautiful. We will definitely return with great pleasure!❤️

Very central. We had a large 2 bedroom apartment. Mini fridge in room and kettle.

Excellent location, great view, in this spacious room. And I liked that the room was French style, not the eternal IKEA furnishings.

Our first time in Fougeres and we were sorry it was such a short stay, just a quick overnight stop. The accommodation was good - clean and comfortable. We did not have breakfast. The arrival arrangements worked fine but be sure to read every message you receive as the last I had looked at first sight like a duplication but, in fact, there was some additional, and necessary information tucked away in it.

Excellent location and we were able to park right outside the property. The owner made access very simple and gave good directions and instructions well before our stay. The building and rooms are wonderful, like stepping into history, we felt privileged to be staying there. Our room had incredible views over the castle and old town. The breakfast was superb, a lovely selection of homemade, hot and cold food at a shared table. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend!

Great view of the castle/chateau out of the bathroom window! 5-10 minute walk from the castle. Very nice "communal" breakfast prepared & served by the lovely owner/hostess, Lucille. A garage was offered for overnight storage of our bicycles which was very helpful.

What a find! Lovely building with a very helpful owner plus views to die for. Fougeres is a hidden gem and I only wish that we had more time there.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and had superb views over the old town and castle. The host was very helpful and provided an excellent range of items for breakfast.
