Overview
Fossatun Camping Pods offer accommodation in wooden camping pods in Fossatún, in the West Iceland Region. Free WiFi is available in commune areas and shared outdoor hot tubs are accessible. Three different camping pods are available, all insulated and heated. Guests must bring their own sleeping bags and camping gear, or rent a bed linen package with sheets, pillow, duvet and towel. At Fossatun Camping Pods, there is access to extra convenience, such as a service house with shared bathroom facilities, communal changing rooms and showers, plus a private shower. There are also two shared equipped kitchen and dining houses plus outdoor barbecue facilities. Guests can relax in the outdoor hot tubs and an array of activities can be enjoyed in the surroundings including Troll- and Folktale hiking trails. Access to a washing machine and clothes dryer is available for a surcharge. A free private parking place is provided next to each pod. You can enjoy local as well as international cuisine at the on-site restaurant with its view over Troll Falls. The restaurant features a vinyl collection with over 3000 records and guests can make requests to staff for their favorites during dinner. The nearest town is Borgarnes, 22 km away. Snæfellsnes Peninsula is 103 km from the property, while Thingvellir National Park is 67 km away. Fossatun Camping Pods are 90 km from Reykjavik Airport and 132 km from Keflavik International Airport.

“Relaxing place”
The simplicity of things but comfortable and warm and clean. Beautiful nature and good energy. I could relax very well and recharge. The staff was polite and the food was good. I loved staying there and I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

“Rock n Troll Camping”
The pods are awesome. Nothing to say. The shared kitchen is well organized and clean. I would definitely recommend this place!

“Affordable, cute and friendly place”
Great camping spot with cute pods and cottages. Very good value for money for a few-night stay. The pods are well heated and clean. In the camp you find a well-equipped kitchen, a spacious dining area, showers and even bathtubs!

Pods are great and cozy. Our only complaint is the bed - the mattress was in a bad condition (all bumpy and springs sticking out). But the view of aurora was amazing!

Distance to the shower block was not the best and the site itself is quite remote. When Icy the entrance can be tricky if you dint have a 4WD vehicle

What a magical little place. The cabins were perfect, well heated. Mattress was comfy. The amenities were clean and had everything we needed. The troll garden overlooking the view was incredible. What originally was booked as affordable accommodation, quickly became our favourite place we’ve stayed so far. What a find! 10/10
