Absolutely worth every penny, this place was fantastic. The staff were amazing and made the whole experience even better. We saw loads of frogs, spiders and other animals on the night tour, spent hours relaxing in the hot springs, and even braved the big slide into the river. To top it off, we saw our first sloth! “An unforgettable experience!”

Had an amazing 5 nights here. Beautiful, calm location, got to see monkeys, toucans, sloths, frogs and an iguana at the swimming pool. The staff were always so helpful. Fabien was always really quick and responsive to any requests and helped us with all our excursions. The kids loved the hot tubs and the springs and a lot of the time it was just us there or at the pool so really felt far away from it all! Ruben took us on two tours and was a fantastic tour guide both in and out the hotel. We stayed and ate at the restaurants and the staff were amazing. They did a special kids menu and while a bit more expensive we had some good meals and wanted to keep it easier than driving to La Fortuna.

Everything, the staff are the best and friendliest people, they talk amongst each other about the guests so even when it's your first time seeing them they already know you. They stay informed over what activities you're doing and are just flat out the best in the business. Place is gorgeous by far the best place we stayed at. Price is expensive but compared to it's competition they are the best for the price. If I could do my trip all over again I would have booked this place for every night. Honestly the best.

The resort is gorgeous. The room was fantastic and the bathroom was amazing. Breakfast was lovely. Horse riding was very good as it was about 2 hours of actual riding. We walked around the main paths at night and found plenty of frogs/toads/snakes. Easy to get back out onto the 702 tourist road for day trips if you have a car. Hot springs are nice and well presented.

A little slice of rainforest heaven! Hot springs were the best! As were the cold pool and river pool! Accommodation clean and luxurious. Beautiful bathrooms. We also did cooking class and night walk here. About half an hour out the way from La fortuna.

We stayed 2 nights at Chachagua Rainforest Hotel & Hot Springs and it was easily one of the highlights of our time in Costa Rica. The property feels like a true rainforest retreat, lush, peaceful, and beautifully kept, with incredible wildlife sounds in the mornings and evenings. The hot springs were a dream after busy days exploring, they are relaxing, quiet, and feel much more natural and intimate than the big commercial resorts. Our room was comfortable and spotless, with thoughtful details that made it feel special, and the staff were genuinely warm, helpful, and attentive throughout the stay. Breakfast was excellent and a great start to early adventure days. If you want somewhere that feels secluded and nature first, but still close enough to La Fortuna for tours and activities, this is a perfect base. We were there partly celebrating my birthday and the staff had left some baked goodies and decorations for us to enjoy as a surprise when I got to the room ! Tip, plan a little time to just enjoy the grounds and hot springs, it is worth slowing down here.

Lovely property and hot pools. Our private cabana was very comfortable and the two on-site restaurants were excellent. We enjoyed the trails and pools for some R&R during our stay.

Our stay was amazing! My husband and I went there for our wedding anniversary and was greeted so nicely with an unexpected upgrade for our anniversary. Absolutely loved the room!!
