Overview
This eco lodge is located 1 km from the Arenal Volcano and 2 km from hot springs. It features an extensive garden, tours and outdoor activities arrangement and free Wi-Fi throughout. The bungalows and cottages offer rustic décor, a desk, fan, wardrobe, wooden floors and a fridge. The bathrooms are private and come with bath, shower, hairdryer and toiletries. All accommodations feature garden and volcano views. Arenal Oasis Eco Lodge & Wildlife Refuge has an on-site restaurant serving local dishes and regional cuisine. Guests at this lodge can arrange activities as hiking to the Arenal Volcano, horseback riding, bird watching, rafting and night trek. There are also visits to the La Fortuna Waterfalls and River. This property is 3 km from a bus station and from La Fortuna de San Carlos Town Centre. Ciudad Quesada City Centre is a 1-hour drive away and Juan Santamaría International Airport is 2 hours’ drive away.

“Lovely rainforest lodge”
Location was great - beautiful rainforest setting. We enjoyed our breakfast. We also did the bird watching for $90 dollars each which was amazing and although expensive, this was typical for the area.

The combination of comfort with the fact that you are living in nature, the Jungle Oasis concept is really as described. Good, cozy restaurant with tasty food and cocktails.

“We had a great stay here it was so quiet and although we didn’t have breakfast they packed one up for us”
We loved the jungle walk and the butterflies and really enjoyed the night walk

“Such a beautiful, comfortable place to stay surrounded by nature”
Our log cabin was beautiful, it was great to be woken up by Howler monkeys in the mornings. The gardens, trail, restaurant and staff were fantastic.

“Great short stay in jungle eco retreat”
Lovely breakfast - a choice of 4. We ate in the restaurant- tasty, good portion sizes and reasonable prices. Helpful welcoming staff in all areas. As we’re budget travelers- they suggested a range of options for day trips to hot springs etc. The accommodation set in mature jungle setting - with lots of creatures- we could hear them - but not so easy to see!

“The AOEL is still a great place to visit and very good value.”
This our third stay at AOEL and it did not disappoint us. Since our last stay they hsve added the butterfly dome which is a nice feature. The trails at fhe lodge are great and a large variety of birds visit the 2 sets of feeders. The staff were very helpful.

Immersed in the jungle with howler monkeys, birds in very loud insects! Excellent night walk leaving from the reception very easy to arrange tours with the staff

“Recommended!”
Lovely lodge in beautiful forest setting, very attractively furnished, spacious. Excellent food in al fresco restaurant; feeding station outside attracted varied birdlife to watch while having breakfast. All staff very helpful. Good short walks in grounds, butterfly house a bonus - very active after breakfast.
