It is an excellent location. Very clean. Stores and bakery and restaurant in walking distance. Cute patio upstairs to enjoy. Fully equipped kitchen. I will definitely be staying again. Beds very comfy.

Spacious apartment with A.C. About 15 minute walk into town. Hugo was a great host, very helpful and helped book activities at a good rate!

Hugo was an excellent host - he greeted us on arrival and showed us around. The accommodation is large in size and very comfortable. Shower is great and secure, private parking. He also made some fantastic suggestions such as Green Eco Park (family run tour to see wildlife) and Observatory Trails (11km of hikes in the forest)

A well equipped and well appointed apartment making for a very comfortable stay. The host was very friendly and helpful. No complaints and would recommend. Be aware payment by cash is preferred.

Hugo and his family were wonderful hosts. Very helpful and quick to answer questions. Hugo was kind enough to help us acquire tickets to Baldi. The room was clean and quaint, perfect for a night or two in La Fortuna. Shower is incredible! They are working on adding a kitchen for guest use, which would be fabulous for longer stays. Good location. Not walking distance to town center, but if you have a care there is secure parking offered.

Our host Hugo was very welcoming and helpful. He got us a discount on a tour. Large room, roof terrace with clothline, safe parking spot.

We had a great stay here. The appartment is spacious, the (big) bed is very comfortable, the bathroom has a hot shower and there is a good bakery just around the corner for breakfast. Also the host Hugo is friendly and can arrange tours in the area. Its 10-15 walk to the centre of La Fortuna or a few minutes with a car. We wanted to extend our stay here, but it was allready booked.

A cosy and spacious studio apartment, with large fridge, hot water kettle, coffee machine, cutlery and crockery. Much nicer than a bland hotel room. The owner Hugo was very warm and welcoming. Always ready with tips of where to eat etc. I was using a rental car so was glad there was a secure parking space.. Loved the little bits of greenery inside the room as well! The apartment is located next door to the owners home, where he and his wife and 2 kids live. So as a solo traveller I felt quite safe and comfortable. There's a balcony upstairs where you can either sit and / or dry your clothes.

This place was a wonderful retreat away from the crazy busy city centre. It is still close enough to walk into bars and cafes but has the tranquillity of a quiet suburban street which you won't get in the centre. You couldn't ask for better facilities. The room was comfortable and very spacious. Hugo and maye were lovely hosts, very helpful but also kept to themselves.

One of the best places I have stayed in Costa Rica! so what I liked: - Owner: As soon as I booked Hugo reached out to me on Whatsapp, he was super friendly and helped me figure out how to reach La Fortuna, I had to postpone my stay because I lost a few buses and he was okay with that, he even was worry about me, as soon as I arrived he wanted to collect me from the bus station and helped me with finding a bank, he also showed me one of the best bakeries close to his place. He is such a nice soul and made my stay super comfortable, every day was checking if I was good and if I had everything I needed ( he even gave me a big bottle of water to keep in the fridge, just a second after I asked information about the water). Incredible! - Accommodation: well, I believe the photo is a reverse catfish- it is way better than what it looks like, the bad is hugeeee! and everything looks so fancy, there is a little "kitchen" space where you have free tea and coffee. I love it. the bathroom is also super nice and new, the place, in general, is very clean, and super soft towels and a big fridge with around 5 L of water are waiting for you there. TV where you can forecast Netflix, air-conditioner, and if you don't like it like me, you have also a very powerful fan on the wall. What to say about the terrace, just WOW! - Location: 12 minutes walking distance from the city center, you have a good bakery just around the corner and the same for the supermarket - Plus: if you are planning to do any activity with Lava Tour, Hugo can help you to book it, actually you can find a lot of info about it in the apartment. He will call and arrange everything. He also booked for me the shuttle from La fortuna to Monteverde :). Internet!!! I was working remotely from there and the internet working perfectly, I had a few meetings and never had problems! really recommended.

Spacious, safe & secure. Friendly & helpful owner. Comfortable bed. All mod cons available. Hugo allowed us to stay a little longer in the Apartment as we had a later shuttle Upstairs terrace area was a real bonus. 10 mins easy walk to town.Loads of restaurants & sodas in town to choose from. Would return again when another holiday planned in the area. .
