“A place you should not miss”

The location. The owner. The building. The breakfast. It is a farm where a german officer had his headquarters in ww2. Now the grandson of the 1940's owner is reviving and renewing the property. Instead of chosing hotels that make rich people even richer, come here and help a young man build his passion. You will never regret it.

Paul was so nice. He explained about the history of the place. He gave advice regarding attractions around. The place itself is very nice and breakfast is very good.

Loved staying at this farmhouse! The history of the place is amazing. It is like stepping back in time. The room was large and there was a small fridge which I was not expecting. Paul the owner was very helpful and friendly. Excellent location to explore all the sights. Short drive to Omaha beach where there is a great restaurant. Is worth staying here. Breakfast was lovely.

“Charming stay in an area so full of history”

So charming, wonderful old farm with a lot of history, well-preserved with many gorgeous old fruit trees. Good breakfast with homemade jams, lovely crusty baguette, and eggs from the chickens just outside. The owner is very kind with a lot of pride for his family farm and had good tips for what to see in the area. The bathroom was also very good, especially given the age of the building. We loved the family room and having a proper bed (not sofa bed) for our daughter.

“A real treasure”

The stay was absolutely perfect. We came for DayD stuff, but the stay on this 500 years old farm was a great experience itself. The host was very caring too- gave us a lot of information and made marvelous breakfast- homemade jams, eggs…

A very quiet and lovely farm setting. We required some changes to our booking and that was swiftly handled. Great breakfast with home made jams etc. Paul provided us great tips to discover the area and was always around for a friendly chat.

“Superb stay in Normandie, the only regret: it was too short”

Superb stay in the Normand countryside. The accommodation itself is an extraordinary experience, worth exploring as much as the other Normandy points of interests. Paul is a warm host and a very knowledgeable person in all of the house and region details. Great breakfast, private parking, very close with car to all the region’s objectives, big rooms, all ammenities provided. I don’t think words can do justice to the whole experience, it is a must try.

“Perfect location and part of the history,”

Great location to visit DDay beaches, Caen, Bayeux etc. Beautiful surroundings and the host Paul gave us a tour of the place and explained the story of the house. Paul was also very helpful at guiding us through the array of museums in the area. The room was very big for 3, we all had our separate beds. Breakfast was very French, with homemade jam. Paul offered to make us some eggs too.

What a fabulous b&b on an old fortified farm with so much history. Paul was restoring it to a wonderful standard and was a fabulous host. Lovely breakfast.

“Great experience”

Paul (the host) is very friendly and helpful. He gave us excellent tips for visiting the area. The old farmhouse is very authentic. It has a beautiful outdoor space, is quiet, and there are plenty of places to park your car. Breakfast is nice. It is great to see that Paul and Axelle are so keen to restore the farmhouse which has been in the family for a long time.

Paul will have the work cut out for him and his girlfriend for many years and we wish them all the best! I is a wonderful house with a lot of history and it is wonderful that this young couple is giving it all their love, sweat and attention.
