very good location for Abbaye, very friendly hosts, lovely spacious room, comfortable bed & huge bath, merci, would certainly stay again if in area (Fontevraud village very pretty, streets lined with lots of roses, & Abbaye very interesting).

Location next to the Abbey and museum was great. Room was a good size with a fabulous bath and very comfortable bed. Quirky and interesting period property. Reasonable price.

Stayed here in this gorgeous, flowerful village for 1 night in early June. Accoms is smack bang in the middle of the central area (village is very small, location is brilliant). It is hard to rate as the location is 10/10 and the look of the room is and 8 or 9. But the functionality of the room is only a 6. Our room was on the 1st floor. It looked beautiful and ambient (and clean) but not very functional. It is very 'open plan' so if you value privacy this may not be the room for you. No air con. Free WiFi worked well. Windows opened and had shutters for blocking out light and sound at night; worked great. The door to room opens directly into a largish area with the toilet and a sink on the left side, then a deep bath with a ringed curtain that can be pulled around it,. We had to worry about water spilling on the old wooden cabinet that housed the sink, and water from the shower head escaping from the ringed curtain out onto the wooden floorboards of the room. Bath has a hand held shower and curtain but nowhere to put toiletries but at your feet. I had to get hubby to hold the shower from outside and spray me inside the curtains with the hand-held shower whilst I held my toiletries. Not practical at all. If you wanted a deep bath it would be great though. On the other side of this open area is a small writing desk and chair, and a towel warmer on the wall. No storage or hanging space. It looks great but it is very much 'form over function'. Breaky was set out for us in this area and was basic but fresh. A stick of fresh bread, croissants, chocolate pastries, juice and cuppa's. The homemade apricot and vanilla jam was thick and flavourful - so delish, we heaped spoonfuls on our bread! There is also a tiny games room and outdoor area. Parking is readily available for free in the town communal parking lot, less than 80m or so from accoms.

Perfectly situated for the Abbaye. Easy access to nearby public parking. Comfortable. Friendly hosts. Good breakfast. Owners operate a superb, popular restaurant next door.

Location 30m from the abby and safe place for bike.

The room was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The accommodation was very conveniently placed.

Location is perfect, near the Abbey and parking. And right on the town square with a bakery a few doors down. Check-in went very smooth, characterful old building with old stairs and breakfast was more than enough

Just near the entrance to the abbey. Big free parking nearby. Spacious room.

Location was good and the bed was comfortable. The big bath was a relaxing treat after 4 days cycling.

Very quirky/ unique place , right in the centre of the Village. Met by a lovely lady who directed us to our family room. The room was spacious and had a wonderful shower! Stairs to the second floor- maybe difficult for some people. Help yourself breakfast! breads, cheese, honey, fruit etc

“Fun, quirky and friendly especially as a solo traveller”

The host was superb, friendly efficient greeting. The place is so central. It was really good to be have communal tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was well presented and as I was travelling further south it was super to be able to get up, eat and be on my way.

The host was extremely friendly and welcoming and happily accommodated our late arrival. The proximity to the Abbey and to excellent restaurants was a plus. We loved staying in a home with so much history and character, but which has been outfitted with modern comforts and facilities.

Location was good in centre of Town, interesting property, not the best for people over 6ft as low beams. Games room with table football etc was good for our child. All in all a good stay.
