Local staff suggestions for activities really helped. The courtyard hot tubs were a nice treat after a long hiking day. The parking location was excellent.

“A Stylish, Remote Golden Circle Base”
The Hill Hotel at Flúðir offers a pleasant stay with nicely updated interiors and a modern feel. While the rooms are comfortable, I found the bathroom design a bit impractical; despite the partition, the floor tended to get quite wet during showers. Additionally, while the hotel is well-positioned for exploring the Golden Circle, it is a bit isolated from amenities. The nearest major town with grocery stores is Selfoss, about a 30-minute drive away, so I’d recommend stocking up before you arrive.

Beautiful hotel, really comfy beds, super clean. Staff are lovely and food was really nice too. Only 2 mins away from the secret lagoon

“Brilliant Hotel & Location for the Golden Circle!”
Great location & the rooms were nice. Guests have the use of 2 x Hot Tubs until 11pm. You can even order drinks to them! We visited The Secret Lagoon which is around a 15 minute walk from the hotel. There is a little shop opposite the hotel which is good value for money, we grabbed pastries & coffee from there. We also had a great display from the Northern Lights that danced above our hotel room on our last night.

“Beautiful hotel, but staff should up their game”
Lovely spacious room with beautiful decorations. In general the hotel is beautiful, and has the nicest view from the restaurant. The food in the restaurant was delicious. Easy parking right outside

very comfortable bed. smart tv available too. the plus point is definitely the hot tub just outside the hotel rooms. very good experience. parking is also free at the front of the hotel. easy to find.

“SATISFACTORY”
The surroundings are quiet and peaceful, making it an ideal stopover along the way. The dinner was quite tasty, and there is a convenience store nearby. Overall, it’s solid and satisfactory.

“Lovely stay”
The location is very close to the Secret Lagoon. The lady at the reception was very kind and welcoming. We were able to check in a little earlier, which was greatly appreciated. This time we had a room without direct access to the hot pots, but it was still very nice and comfortable.

Perfect location to arrive to after coming back from Jokulsarlon. Good for making the most of the Golden Circle over a few days. Great Staff, very helpful. Looks good, but rooms not large, even the family room. If you have more than 3 then will.be a squeeze. Useful having a rear door into the courtyard where there is a Hot Tub. Sat in the hot tub one night and saw the Aurora which was great ! Beds were comfortable, everything was clean and as you would ask. It is in the middle of town, so not dark skies, so you can see the lights, but not as good as out of town. Shop and Alcohol shop across the road. Easy to get to the Friðheimar restaurant and tomato farm for dinner, whivh was great. Probably 10 minute drive.

“Lovely, quirky hotel in a gorgeous spot”
I was excited to stay at the Hill Hotel, and it exceeded my expectations. The room we booked was absolutely lovely, and had a door onto the courtyard where we could easily access the hot tubs. Everything was great - the staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant was fantastic (with interesting vegetarian options - not always a given in Iceland!), and breakfast was lovely. We particularly enjoyed being able to order drinks while in the hot tubs - that's a really nice touch!
