Everything was great. Loved our stay here and it really was a highlight of the trip. Super cosy and comfy. Only flag was the outdoor hot tub wasn't super warm, we used it but had to come in after 10 mins we were so cold. It wouldn't really heat up any more

The door couldn't be locked from the inside; there was only a chain-link door stop at the top, but from the outside it could still be opened 8-10 cm. This didn't make us feel safe, especially since the cottage is nestled among trees. Furthermore, the photos don't reflect this specific cottage, which can only be viewed by selecting a room; the other photos refer to the other three cottages. We decided not to stay here. We first reported to the host that the door wasn't locking enough, but after a brief chat, we didn't receive a response. After we told her we'd decided to change accommodations, she offered us another of the cottages. By then, we'd booked elsewhere. I suggest adding a lock, because even when leaving, we needed to lock the door with a padlock.

“Just perfect”
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so for me, this was the best accommodation we had in Iceland. Sure enough, I am aware that not everybody will find this perfect, but for us it was. In fact, I liked it so much that now I want to build my own cottage at home :)

Very cosy cottage, everything you need is at hand. Perfect location to explore the golden circle. We were lucky to experience the northern lights first night here, would go here next time for sure!

The location of the cottage is amazing, you just stay in between of the horses. The bed is perfect. The size of the cottage is good.
