“A small cottage in the Icelandic countryside”
The apartment is a self-check-in accommodation, located in Skarð, a horse breeding farm, owned by the owners of the apartment (that lives here). The apartment is a small wooden cottage, located in a small wood on the edge of the farm (a short distance from two other cottages). The apartment is quite basic and the evaluation depends greatly on what looking for. Although the bed is very comfortable (as long as you are not very tall), the small size of the cottage, the lack of shelves and wardrobes available to guests, and the slightly dated bathroom do not make it suitable for those looking for an apartment with all the comforts. Personally, being the apartment immersed in the countryside (unlike the multitude of mass-produced apartments that are starting to grow everywhere) and the wooden scent of the cottage, have largely compensated for the previous limitations, making the experience pleasant.

“Enchanting, fairytale like cabin.”
It was absolutely charming. Very small but adequate for the two os us. Hearing running water and many birds outside. Ponies in next field. Very secluded.

“A tumblr dream!”
The property was cosy and compact but had lots of entertainment options such as books, dvds, cards and a TV. It was well heated but also had a log burner. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom was well done. The property wasn’t too far from the nearest town but remote enough to feel isolated. We met the owner and he was so lovely to chat with.

Good place to stay for a road trip around iceland. We saw the aurora here. The room is good. Clean bathroom. Kitchen availble. This is a wooden cabin so it is quite cold during winter because of wood walls esp the bathroom. But they have 2 working heaters.
