“Awesome place”

First the location, in Norway you get beautiful Nature, this setting is in the middle of it, the view of the Fjord ia amazing the home reflects the history of the area, and is kept with this in mind, pictures and books of the history of the Area and the family home Lars was so welcoming, although i was there for work you still get the feeling or pride in the history from him i have travelled the world through work and do not like Chain hotels and the corporate feel, i have been to this area before, and love it !

This was the most charming and beautifully designed guesthouse we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and kindness. As first-time visitors to this country, we felt incredibly lucky to have met Marianne and Lars, who not only made our stay unforgettable but also took the time to share the history of the hotel and the Norwegian way of life with us. In the morning, they prepared a delightful breakfast, and we sipped our coffee on the terrace, taking in the breathtaking view. Every flower in the house was vibrant and full of life, a reflection of the care and attention they put into every detail. Even though we were their only guests that night, they went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Marianne and Lars are truly exceptional hosts, dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming experience for their guests. We are so grateful to have had the chance to stay here and to have met such wonderful people. It felt like home—filled with comfort, kindness, and genuine hospitality. Thank you for everything. We hope to return one day and see you again!

Marianne and Lars are super enthusiastic and nice people who do their very best to make their guests as comfortable as possible. The breakfast is worth mentioning apart from this, that was superb with fresh salmon and a lot more to choose from.

Modern utilities in authentic environment Nice modern bathroom that looks like a country house with very comfortable standard Very nice furniture, also historical furniture Heating system in the room Bedrooms with themes (photos on the walls) Amazing view Tasty home-made breakfast served in cozy rooms (local food - a huge variety: cheese, jam, eggs, honey, fish, butter, amazing bread) Very clean and comfortable Use of Norwegian high quality products Beautiful cups for tea and coffee The owners are so welcoming and provide excellent service Warm atmosphere and peaceful place

“Charming hideaway with a historical twist”

Beautiful place located on top of the hill overlooking a lake. The guesthouse is a historical building and Marianne and her husband were very keen on sharing some insight. Vintage, rustic decor gives the place a nice vibe. Daily breakfast was delicious and we also had 2 dinners, which were homecooked and truly remarkable. Heated floor in the bathroom was also very nice.

The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is very good, and individually prepared to your requirements. A welcome change from the ubiquitous breakfast buffet.

“Old world charm in wood with a vey nice lakeview”

Magnificent view on the lake from a wooden house with all the charm of a 75 year old hotel, including several sitting rooms, one big room with a lot of glass windows, tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge, an outside terrace. A little paint is needed here and there, but the rooms are spotlessly clean.
