Overview
Overlooking the scenic Lysefjord, this hostel is located next to the Flørli Stairs, the world's longest wooden staircase with 4444 steps. A ferry ride is required to reach this hostel. Cars can be taken onto the ferry, and there is free parking at each ferry terminal. The hostel is about 300 metres away from the ferry terminal in Flørli. Guests can choose guest rooms with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities or self-catering apartments. The apartment includes a kitchenette, dining table and private bathroom with shower. Guests have access to a shared lounge. Hostel Flørli 4444 has an in-house café which serves local cuisine, local beers and snacks. This cafe is located in the historic hydro-power plant, where guests can also walk through the exhibition. Guests can also explore the watergate and trek up the mountain. Hiking, water sports and fishing can be enjoyed in the surroundings. The suggested ferry terminals to travel from are Lysebotn and Lauvvik. The property can only be reached by ferry, boat or by hiking.

Lovely two hosts and fab dinners each nite. Feels like you are away from the main world, just a boat in or out. Great hike up the 4444 steps and fab route down

The location is absolutely stunning — breathtaking views and an incredible sense of peace and quiet. The surrounding nature is amazing: a waterfall, a fjord, forest, and mountains are all nearby. There’s also a small shop within walking distance (with limited opening hours), but the staff there are exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

“All-in-all a perfect one night stopover to climb the stairs of Florli.”
Super friendly host at the camping with flexible check-out time from the tent we have rented. The tent came with very comfy mattresses and was super clean. Even though the coffee shop won't open on the morning, we have bought the evening before a really clever and tasty coffee bag in the shop. Highly recommended to try.

“There were bed bugs in apartment 9A on the second floor. The beds should be replaced. Something must be done.”
The view of the Lysefjord from the kitchen and living/dining room is stunning. The reception staff was very helpful and quickly fixed the oven when we reported the issue.

Location of the house is AMAZING. We had huge window with the view on fiord. The house was austere, but very clean, well equipped as described in the offer.

Wonderful place, amazing staff, very welcoming and helpful. Sweet retro accommodation with everything one needs. My parents still talk about the fish we had for dinner at the restaurant. I took my breakfast outside to enjoy sun, silence, and peace, for sure coming back with visitors, and recommending it to all friends😍🇧🇻. We took fishing rods and caught some cod in the fjord❤️.

Original location, house in perfect retro style (seventies), beautifull lakeview, good restaurant ( take the reindeer 🍔 ), canoe and kayak available, good hiking, enthousiastic host! We Will return👍👍
