Absolutely gorgeous! Andrea, his aunt and miss Lola are the best hosts :) We arrived early and in the rain, but Andrea had our room ready, which was greatly appreciated. Room was everything we need, the bathroom looks like new, very nice. Andrea recommended to us Gino's diner nearby, food was great and we came back nex day also. Breakfast was great, salty and sweet also, fresh croissants we had were probably the best we ever tasted. Luggage storage is also benefit in the B&B. I would definitely like to come here again.

We spent 10 unforgettable days in Florence in April 2026. We stayed at Ghiberti B&B. The building is located right in the very center, with the Duomo just around the corner. All the main attractions are within walking distance. The house is 500 years old and even has an elevator. The room was comfortable and very clean. The window of our room faced a quiet inner courtyard. There was an excellent shower with great water pressure. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was quite filling, and everything was very fresh. We would especially like to mention the owner of the apartments, Andrea. He is an incredibly kind, cheerful, and sociable person. He was always present at the hotel. You could always turn to him with any question or request, from ordering a taxi to asking for a special type of cheese for breakfast. We felt completely at home. We wholeheartedly recommend this place for your stay in Florence.

When we were shown to our room I was surprised that it wasn't very spacious & upon asking the owner he advised that we had booked the standard room which I wouldn't recommend ( comfortable but small & no view & I blame my partner for this oversight LOL) The owner Andrea was very humorous ( we had many laughs ) & he provided lots of information on where to eat, places to see & was always available to assist with our needs. The highlight of our stay was Lola his little dog who would visit us in the breakfast room each morning for treats & cuddles ( we were missing our furbaby ) & the tiramisu homemade by Andrea's mum. I would stay here again, although I'd book the bigger room with a view :)

Everything- I mean everything and everyone makes this a fabulous place! Lola- along with Andrea- make this choice like no other! Location is remarkably close to the Duomo while having the feel of a small neighborhood! Andrea gives THE BEST recommendations for local eats and tips to experience the city optimally. While the crowds are unavoidable seeing the sights- feel like a local family member in La Casa del Ghiberti! And Ghiberti lived in this building yes! Breakfast very traditional light Italian - poached eggs, meats for proteins, excellent baked goodies from Andreas mom- amazing! Coffee super good! Fresh fruit is a plus. Honor bar w prosecco and beer, enjoy on the nice patio. Great sleep on comfy beds- the shower was great w HOT water and great pressure- perfecto after long day exploring. Plenty of extra comfy pillows. I cannot say enough good things! I had the best time and was sad to say Ciao! to mostly Lola! And yes Andrea too. Kiss kiss

“Elegant & central B&B”

Elegant and VERY central. Host recommended a trattoria 50m around the corner as cheap and authentic. “ ZioGigi” He wasn’t kidding. Family run place where the owner breaks into snatches of opera. Most people locals & food superb. Room itself was lovely. A bit pricey but not in relation to nearby hotel and only 3 mins from Piazza Duomo & not more than 10-15 min walk from anywhere central. Worth it if you afford it

Large comfortable room. Also large, clean and fresh bathroom. Romantic suite with historical painting on ceiling. Perfect location, just around the corner to Dome, restaurants, museums. Very friendly and helpful owner.

Central location which was ideal as we walked everywhere. Clean and comfortable. It had the best mattress. Andrea our host was super helpful and his suggestions to eating out were excellent. Andrea was also helpful with local knowledge especially as we happened to be there on a public holiday. Breakfast was adequate. Would stay there again.

Our host, Andrea, was so helpful. The accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable with a beautifully decorated room and modern bathroom. It was located just behind the Duomo! There are shops and restaurants all around. There was also a small lift, which made it easier to bring up our luggage. Breakfast was a very good spread, with a range of delicious choices. We absolutely loved our stay.

The location is the best in Florence and Andrea knows all the best spots and restaurants to give recommendations. The actual B&B is very comfortable and the rooms are beautiful and charming.
