“Ancient town luxury accomodation with top service”
Ancient Town building completely and beautifully renovated inside. Very convenient as just 100m from the river, but also very quiet with rooms facing private inner yard. Amazing service of the owner very helpful in organizing the theatre show and river boat trip and personally showing spots around city old town.

“You couldn’t have a better place in Fenghuang”
We had absolutely an amazing stay at the guesthouse. Initially we have made a reservation for 3 nights but we had issues we the train and it wasn’t an issue for the owner to change the dates of our reservation. In the end we had stayed all three nights. There owner is extremely helpful and make you feel like a part of his family. He is the most incredible and kind person. He was helping us to plan our days, book tickets, gave recommendations of even went with us to visit some places. Very caring person. The guesthouse is very new, rooms are specious and modern. We had breakfast brought to our room. It was local breakfast, every day a little different but big and filling. In the end of our stay we have asked to help with booking the taxi but the owner brought us to the train station by himself. The location is perfect as well. A few minutes from bus station(where direct bus from the train station is coming), it’s in the center of all attractions but at the same time in a quiet area. We would love to come back and when we do, we will stay in that hotel again ❤️ thank you for making us part of your family :) we really felt like at home. It was our best stay in China.

“Perfection that is Fenghuang”
Everything about this place was perfect. The host was wonderful and it was obvious that it was important to him that we had a wonderful stay. The accommodation is wonderfully situated in the heart of ancient Fenghuang close to all the activities that a traveller might want to do. The accomodation itself was sparkling clean and new. Overall, I honestly thought this was a perfect place to stay in the dream that is Fenghuang.

“Absolutely loved everything and appreciate the owner’s gracious hospitality”
I loved everything about this property. Starting with the very hospitable owner ShuXi, ensuring that I was met and helped with my rather heavy month-long luggage. He then focused on my trip plans and needs. Helped organised my stay to make sure that I cover all the important attractions and cultural performance etc. and showed me where and how to get around. The whole property was super impressive with amazing Zen-Style decor, giving the place a calm, serene and tranquil feel, despite being only 3-min walk from the bustling TuoJiang River. The provision of traditional local breakfast was awesome and ShuXi even cooked and offered me delicious lunch throughout my stay. And when I mentioned my love for hotpot, immediately that afternoon he brought me to the local supermarket to get ingredients and helped set up my hotpot dinner in the courtyard. I’m super blessed to have chosen ShuXi Homestay. Truly a home away from home. Can’t wait to return for a longer stay sometime soon. And definitely bring my friends and family to enjoy the same beautiful experience. And the property looks exactly as shown on Booking.com (beautiful).

“. If you're visiting Fenghuang, I can't recommend this place enough!”
The host is a true local - warm and down-to-earth! Not only does he maintain the homestay spotlessly clean and cozy, but he also surprised us with an unforgettable sunrise fishing experience! He shared fascinating Miao fishing traditions, turning it into a fully immersive cultural journey through Western Hunan's heritage. In the afternoon, he took me to an authentic Miao village - the terraced fields, lush forests and traditional stilt houses along the way were like scenes from a painting, completely untouched by commercial tourism, just pure Miao lifestyle. The homestay itself was wonderful with clean, comfortable rooms. Our host was exceptionally welcoming, even inviting us for evening tea while sharing stories about the ancient town. The location couldn't be better - everything from sightseeing to dining was within walking distance.

The house was beautifully decorated, and the old town was quiet in the midst of trouble. The homestay service was really dedicated. From the moment of booking, a housekeeper contacted us to tell us the weather in Phoenix that day, where the car should be parked, and when she came out to meet us, very warm and careful, the local tourism to give a lot of advice, very practical, value for money, come back next time
