The Host was very friendly and welcoming - this included being shown a Fireflies in a nearby field ! :-). We also saw a nice sunrise over the mountains. The atmosphere was lovely and breakfast was very authentic. Easy to find and plenty of parking. Everywhere was nice and clean - both in the shared areas and bedroom. We were driving-on to Sun Moon Lake via Alishan National Park. This is a great, lower-cost option to both see a sunrise then walk in Alishan :-)

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable with a good bathroom . Good breakfast. Would happily stay here again.

“Lovely stay at a B&B that lives up to its name “Sunrise”.”

The staff including the owners were warm , friendly and took good care of us. The proximity to the platform where you could see the sunrise and sunset was a bonus. The room was quiet though it led to the dining hall and reception. The owner who was a 80+ year old gentleman joined us at the sunrise viewing platform and shared stories and info on his mountaineering days, plus which mountains surrounded us. It gave a very warm and personal touch to the stay. Breakfast was the same daily, simple local fare with oolong tea breads and spreads.

Its not quite clean as it should be, not elderly friendly nor did it provide a proper bed frame. As i was negotiating with the host, he promised me to refund me half of the total payment and we would not stay at the hotel. it means that he could still get some payment while two rooms were still be available for other guests. Amazingly and to my surprise, the host did not know how to process canceling or refund on booking.com, he had no idea how to use a computer or the platform or whatever. He then said his booking.com was managed by another company, the host called such company and the company helped cancel all of my reservation on booking.com. Then i left his hostel, without ever hearing back from the host or the hostel staff again. He did not refund me, did not get back to me, he also did not pick up calls from booking.com customer support or nothing. I would strongly demand this hostel to be contacted again about this refund matter, he made a promise to refund me NTD 2300 and its quite a small amount after we paid the full price of over NTD 5000 sth. The host is very dishonest, didnt seem to give a shit about the guest's requests and didnt seem to care how to use booking.com's service by himself anyway. It is unfortunate that i didnt record the conversations.

“Tranquil place to stay for relaxation”

We booked the family room with 4 separated double beds, the room is more spacious than expected and we can smell the wood once arrived. The weather was very bad with heavy rain everyday during our trip, so we can only stay at the place most of the time. We enjoy the tranquil atmosphere very much, giving ourselves an unexpected relaxation and deep rest during the days. The breakfast was great which I remember the vegetables are very delicious :p The cats there are so cuteeeee!! Great location with 3 mins walk to enjoy the sunrises (though we didn’t have the chance to enjoy the sunrise due to the bad weather). It’s next to hotel indigo so it’s easy to find and there is a 7-11 right at the main road.

Clean and interesting interior. But it's really more of a guest house or youth hostel than a hotel and it's in a very remote place with no restaurants.

Breakfast are superb, vegetarian meal provided
