I ARRIVED LATE. IVE HAD MEETING WITH CLIENTS ALL DAY SO I COULDNT READ ANY MESSAGES FROM THEM. THERE WAS NO TOWELLS AND BED LINEN WHICH IS MANDATORY. NO STAFF NEITHER. I UNDERSTAND YOU HAVE TO RENT THEM - (NO, ACTUALLY I DONT UNDERSTAND AS THIS IS HOTEL NOT A TRAILER OR BUNGALOW, YOU HAVE TO START INCLUDING BASIC ESSENTIALS WITHIN THE PRICE. ITS 2024 NOT 1975) ANYWAYS THEY SHOULD LEAVE IT IN MY ROOM SO I COULD ENJOY MY STAY. I COULD PAY ON CHECK OUT. BUT NOBODY CARES ABOUT GUESTS THERE. THATS ALL. MAYBE THEY WILL READ THIS AND START UNDERSTANDING TRAVELLING PEOPLE AND THEIR NEEDS.

“Reasonably price-worthy youth hostel when travelling as a family by car.”
Easy access by own car, and convenient to drive to both Borlänge and Falun and close to Ornässtugan. Spacious common areas. Conference facilities. Downstairs and upstairs kitchen that can be used by guests. Reasonably spacious rooms with en suite shower/wc. Free parking. Nice countryside surroundings. Check-in by door code and key box worked fine when no staff is around.

“We just had a stopover stay but the Vassbo was very good and it would be nice to stay longer.”
We thought we were getting breakfast as we did last year, but there was no breakfast. Last year there was a very nice buffet. I was therefore expecting breakfast to be included which was disappointing and I am not sure why this happened.

“So nice I booked to stay a second night”
So nice I booked to stay a second night. It is a well maintained, warm and comfortable hostel (formerly accommodation for an agricultural college). Has all the facilities I needed including a well equipped kitchen . I enjoyed walking around the grounds and the local farmland.

We really enjoyed our stay at Vassbo Hostel. The location was very nice. We had our dog with us too and there were no problems as long as dog stayed in the room and not in the living area.

“Lovely YHA near Falun and Borlänge”
Location very pretty, in orchard, by a lake with jetty, free canoes and fishing. Great 50ies decor. Near many sights of Dalarna, Falugruvan only about 10mins by car.

“Nice hostel for short stay. Small room but cosy common areas (dining room, sofas, etc)”
Nice house, very kind host. Our room was small, but it is OK for a short stay. The common areas are spacious and nicelly furnished. Own food can be prepeared in the common kitchen.
