“Great Stay in Friendly Convent. Great Situation.”
Wonderfully friendly nuns. The house is totally barrier-free (step-free), including the shower Even though it's only two stories, there is a lift to the top floor. Some have called the rooms simple but in fact nothing at all is lacking, by hotel standards, except maybe shampoo. Exceptionally clean too, daily housekeeping. Pleasant, old-fashioned library where you could sit on a rainy day. Parking in front of the house. Too far from town to walk but there is a lovely garden and a bathing place, right on the lake shore. The water was a bit cold when I was there at the end of June...

“A lovely 3 days in a beautiful place with lovely people.”
The food, breakfast and evening meal, was relatively simple home cooking but plenty of it and nicely prepared. The rooms were a good size and very comfortable. The setting, in a garden by a large lake with wonderful views was outstanding. It is important to note that this is a guest house in a convent and the staff are all nuns and the decoration is all of a religious nature. However the nuns are extremely friendly and helpful and speak an extraordinary number of languages between them. They are all very happy in their work. We had a very memorable stay. We came to visit the Carl Larsson House and this was a very convenient and complementary place to stay.

“The most peaceful place on earth.”
The location is superb - the house is surrounded by a large garden on the edge of the lake. The nuns were lovely they spoke Swedish, Italian and English. We walked around the garden after a simple dinner.

Room was spacious,there was everything you need,comfortable bed,closet, couch,working table,private bathroom with shower.Everything was very clean.All the Sisters are so nice and asking if everything is good,if you need something.Area is in beautiful place with forests and lakes, wintertime looked magical. Buss stops close by, goes to Falun C, Hosjö, Vika. They have library! Its silent and calm here,good to run away from big city sounds.I was feeling safe and like home. Thank you Birgittagården!
