Absolutely unacceptable service and hostile attitude — Avoid this place! Do not book this place unless you are 100% sure nothing will go wrong on your trip. They have a strict 1.5-hour check-in window (18:30–20:00), and absolutely zero flexibility or empathy. We had car trouble on our way and realized we would be about 40 minutes late. We tried to contact the property in advance to explain the situation. Not only did they refuse to communicate in English, but they were incredibly rude in French, telling us we "needed to learn to arrive on time." We offered to pay an extra fee, explained it was an emergency, and mentioned it was a birthday trip — they did not care at all. It got worse: Mockery: When we messaged them, they responded with laughing emojis (⁠😂⁠), which they quickly deleted a couple of minutes later, clearly trying to hide their unprofessional behavior from customer support. Aggression: We asked a French-speaking friend to call them to bridge the language barrier. The host literally screamed at him, claiming that having someone call on our behalf was "abuse." The irony is that the only real abuse and provocation came from the host. Their complete lack of empathy, inability to handle a standard hospitality situation, and toxic communication ruined our trip. Unprofessional, hostile, and deeply disappointing. Save your money and peace of mind, and stay somewhere else.

We are supppose to be able to stay till11am, but the staff start knocking our doors around 9am to warn us to leave ,and then keep phoning us till11am till we put the key in the letterbox, with a really demanding attitude, which we already did around 10:45 . If you want to be treated as in military school ，then this hotel would be your best choice.

“Lovely little studio in Etretat”

Great little place in the center. easy access to everything. The room was clean, well appointed. Nothing to complain

Room was very quiet and breakfast was exceptionally good.

Hotel has a great location in the heart of the village. The owners are very nice, the rooms are new and clean, breakfast is served directly to your room at the chosen time. Although it is sweet, it is quite filling, because it includes yoghurts, fruits, fresh pastries and freshly squeezed juice. The hotel has its own rules, due to the fact that it is a cultural heritage site. The owners convey them clearly, you just have to follow them, and then you will have only wonderful impressions! :)

Very nice host. Accommodation with perfect location in the village. Good breakfast we had served on the tray to the room, felt luxurious. Superfresh room, can really recommend Chambre D’hôte Villa Maurice.

“Great stay in Etretat center”

The villa Maurice is ideally located in the center of Etretat. Itself has no parking place but there is a public parking nearby (we stayed in June so the village was not yet crowded and we always found a parking spot, note that you have to pay for parking spots in the village). The host gave us a warm welcome and was very helpful. The room (on the second floor, no elevator) was very tidy and had all comfort needed. The breakfast served in the room was modest but very delicious, for us it was a great start of the day.

Great hosts, very well designed cozy comfortable studio with all amnesties needed. Very well located, just 2 minute walk from the beach. Very accomodation hosts also helped me with the charger when I was running out of battery.

A room was nice, clean, and quiet; towels and toiletries (shampoo/shower gel, liquid soap) were provided. The location was great - in the centre of the town, just several minutes from the beach. We got a French breakfast, and it was good. The hostess was friendly during a communication and provided us with all required information about our stay.

The room itself and the location were perfect. Communication with the host was also excellent; she was very hospitable and a nice person. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast included pastries, fruits, yogurt, and coffee, which was very nice.

“A dream place to visit the wonderful Etretat”

Wonderful and recommended location to visit Etretat. It takes just 5 minutes to walk to the beach. The lady owner is very friendly and so nice! The room is within an historical building. It is so wide, very clean and very characteristic. Everything is perfect. You sleep with the song of the seagulls! There are fee parking close to the location, or alternatively there is a free park at approx 30 minutes walking distance.
