“Overall everything was okay, but it could be better.”

The house is close to the beach, but it's an undeveloped, fairly wild beach. The house is nice, the neighborhood is very quiet, and there's a shop nearby. There's also a Lidl and Supeco in the area. The yard is wonderful and gets sun all day long, and the pool is heated, maintaining a temperature of 24-25 degrees (a bit cold for our preferences, but better than at the beach clubs or hotels). The hosts, or the people who manage the house, are wonderful and were super kind.

The villa was great and had lots of room for the 4 of us, the location very close to the beach was also handy with a good selection of cafe's and restaurants close by, within walking distance. The host met us at the villa and explained everything to us although he spoke in Spanish, luckily my sister and daughter speak some Spanish and were able to understand what he was saying. If you want to look around Estepona or further afield you need to have a car.

We truly loved our time at Villa del Mar, the villa surpassed expectations and is a wonderful property. The villa is spacious, comfortable, immaculately decorated, beautifully, traditionally and thoughtfully furnished throughout. There are all the facilities you require to keep cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It has all the mod-cons you require. The garden is lush, tropical, well-maintained and almost completely private. The swimming pool is fantastic, as are the outdoor eating and lounging areas. There are wonderful sea views from the master bedroom and the beach is at the end of the road. We were thrilled when we saw the property on arrival and we were met promptly by the property manager who gave us a run through of all we needed to know. We knew they were on hand if needed. We settled in very quickly. The villa is ideally located particularly if you have a car, as it is a short drive to many towns, beaches and mountains along the Costa Del Sol and the dedicated parking space in front of the villa was very useful. There are also local shops and eateries within walking distance. It is a delightful place to stay and we did not want to leave.
