“Perfect Riad in a wonderful location”

The Riad is very sweet and clean. The host and staff were very friendly and helpful. The Riad is in a fabulous location inside the Medina. The porter met our car on arrival and took our luggage by cart to the Riad and back again on checkout.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were so kind helpful and accommodating. Hakim was particularly friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The location is great and the room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend Malaika to anyone visiting Essaouira!

Couldn’t asked for nicer staff who couldn’t do enough for you. Accommodation great location only thing you need to be aware of if driving is trying to find parking by the port.

Out of many nice places we stayed during our Morocco trip, this was outstanding. The room was luxurious and beautiful, the staff was amazing and the location is very central in Essaouira. I would definitely recommend to eat dinner here. The kitchen, for breakfast and definitely for dinner, is world class.

Everything was top-notch. The exceptional traditional rooms are clean and atmospheric, with everything one would desire. The food, whether breakfast or dinner, is of the highest quality. However, the highlight of our stay was the perfect service. A major shout-out to Akim, who was exceptionally helpful; he truly made our stay memorable. We will return and highly recommend this Riad!

It was beautiful, truly reflected its surrounds sat nestled in the Medina. It had a lovely quiet roof terrace where we could spend time relaxing after walking around, most welcoming. The beds were extremely comfortable and we have never slept as soundly anywhere on our travels, just perfect.

Our second time in Riad Malaika and the best place to stay in Essaouria in our opinion. Friendly, clean, well kept, cosy, stylish. Sumptuous breakfast, different every morning. In the centre of the old town yet very quiet. The staff is very helpful. Gorgeous patio and terrace. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back here. The room was beautifully decorated and the breakfast was delicious. On top of this, the staff were very welcoming, kind and very accommodating. They helped book transfers, gave advice on where to visit in town, and let us leave our luggage before and after check in.

We had such a wonderful time at Riad Malaika and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The riad itself is absolutely beautiful—elegant, calm, and full of character—making it the perfect place to relax after exploring the Medina. Abdellah and his team looked after us so well from start to finish; they were attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel at home. You can really feel how much care they put into creating a great experience for their guests.Breakfasts were fantastic, with a generous spread of fresh, delicious food that set us up perfectly for the day. The location, right in the heart of the Medina, added so much to the experience—it felt authentic, cultural, and wonderfully atmospheric.A beautiful riad, exceptional service, and a great location. A delightful traditional Riad residence centred around the small central courtyard, with rooms arranged around the central open space on each floor up to the roof terrace. The elegant interior design was lovely, and the food and staff excellent.
