We had a great time at the beautiful Riad le Consulat. The two ladies, who came in the morning were so friendly and prepared a very delicious breakfast. The location of the Riad in Essaouira is perfect and the house has a characterful traditional and beautiful interior.

The property is beautifully restored and the decor is very well finished. We travelled with our adult children and their partners and it was perfect. Location is right in the medina . The ladies (Souad) who run the house and prepare breakfast are very charming, friendly and efficient.

“Spectacular stay in Essaouira”
The accommodation was fantastic - gorgeously furnished living and bedroom spaces. Great location in the Medina. Communicaton by owner before our stay was helpful. The housekeeping team were very welcoming and friendly, the riad was very clean and well maintained, and the breakfast was delicious.

“A magical place.”
We have stayed in the property before. It’s is owned by a charming couple from Paris, who over the years have renovated this ancient building in near perfect Moroccan style. Everything is very authentic but the plumbing works unlike many ancient buildings. The location inside the Medina is terrific, so quiet, the only noise at night is the Atlantic and everyone’s fields the sea gulls. Essaouira is a windy city, but the food is excellent and good value unless you eat in one of the “western” style restaurants.

Great Riad, excellent location to discover the medina. we had the whole riad for us, which is perfect for families and friends. very accomodating host that perpared a delicious morrocan meal for our arrival, greatly appreciated after the trip with our kid. thanks!
