“A very basic but overall comfortable riad”

The riad has quite friendly staff and serves good, tasty breakfasts. The room has windows facing the outside, which is usually a rare case if you’ve stayed at other riads. However, the view from these windows wasn’t that nice.

“The place to stay in Essaouira”

We had an unforgettable stay in this Riad. Carole and her team are amazing people and they do everything to make sure you have the best time. We received a very warm welcome and felt at home straight away. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is the best we had on our whole trip through Morocco. The location of the Riad is perfect just outside the medina walls. It is quiet, but you can walk into the action of the old city center in only a couple of minutes.

What a wonderful place, right outside the medina walls yet a peaceful oasis of calm and charm. We were given a great welcome and exceptional guidance as to how we could best enjoy the town. Breakfasts were delicious and served so beautifully. Carol and Eric are superb hosts who are warm and caring and have created beautiful accommodation which it was a pleasure to experience. There is a safe enclosed parking lot very close-by fo 50dr per day. Thank you very much for your fabulous hospitality.

This location is so convenient to the walled city, the medina, the beach, local transportation by taxi or bus. It's beautiful, stylishly decorated, very clean and tidy, The owners are lovely and welcoming. I was greeted with useful information that included a list of recommended restaurants with good food safety standards and value for money. Breakfasts were delicious and accommodated my dietary limitations. Wifi worked well and the rooftop terrace is peaceful and lovely. I regret that my guest was unable to join me. She missed a good one! Highly recommend.

Staying at Riad Da’r Ganne was an absolutely wonderful experience and a highlight of my time in the city. The riad is beautifully restored, combining traditional Moroccan charm with comfort and elegance. From the peaceful courtyard to the thoughtfully decorated rooms, every detail feels authentic and cared for. It is a calm oasis right in the heart of the Medina, yet once inside, the noise of the city completely disappears. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and incredibly comfortable. I slept exceptionally well and always looked forward to returning to the riad after a day of exploring. The terrace is a real gem—perfect for relaxing, enjoying the views, and soaking in the atmosphere of Tangier. What truly makes Riad Da’r Ganne exceptional is the hospitality. The hosts and staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They go out of their way to make you feel at home and are always happy to help with recommendations, directions, or anything you might need. If you are looking for an authentic, peaceful, and memorable stay in Tangier, I cannot recommend Riad Da’r Ganne highly enough. I would gladly return and encourage anyone visiting the city to experience this beautiful riad.
