The best place to stay at! The bus to Santa Maria and other places costs you like 1 euro. The prize of the apartment is very good, super clean and modern, close to some good restaurants and the people are the nicest! Definitely recommend staying here!

Great location and beautifully designed apartment. The room had everything we need, we enjoyed our stay and recommend! Also, definitely try the bbq place just down the street, it's amazing!

“Fantastic place to stay”

The apartment was very spacious, clean and had all the facilities needed to enjoy the stay more, couldn’t ask for a better apartment for my 5 night stay, the supermarket is 30 sec walk away. The host Hugo so kind and welcoming, showed us around the place and is great with responding back if something is wrong he is full of useful information about the island and always happy to help you out 100% would stay here again top notch, highly recommend.

“A paradise on earth”

We left our home for another home 🥰😍. Upon arrival, we were greeted by warm tropical air. Cape Verde is a paradise on earth 😊, pristine beaches and rich in local culture. The traditional foods are delicious, and we enjoyed local music and some dance performances in Santa Maria and Espargos 😁. The evenings were calm, with dinners on the beach and entertainment centres , fresh seafoods were served, oh yes, colourful sunsets in Murdeira 😍 and a relaxing sound of the ocean.It was quite a wonderful experience. If you are looking for a getaway to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, to immerse yourself in a slower and more peaceful pace, Sal Island in Cape Verde (Buracona - Blue Eye Cave, Shark Bay, Salt Lake etc) is your answer 😆😆🥰🥰😍😍 " NO STRESS "

The apartment is really central, next to mini markets, restaurants, bars, really easy to walk the town and get to know Espargos. Ugo is really the host with the most! Tons of local knowledge and information about other islands too! I couldn't have chosen a better place for my first steps on Cabo Verde.

“10/10 flawless stay!”

We stayed for 8 wonderful nights and there’s nothing we could fault really! Hugo really made our stay so seamless, such a wonderful host- he helped us multiple times. Nothing was ever a bother, he recommended restaurants, local shops, arranged our island tour, booked us taxis just incredibly accommodating, always available for any questions and truly made us feel at home. The apartment itself was spacious, beautifully decorated, clean and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect- easy access to local grocery shops etc. A bonus was that we got to experience the day to day life around the locals who were very lovely and welcoming!

Friendly and helpful host, Hugo. The apartment is in a safe and relaxed environment. Well equipped with bed linen and towels and clean. I stayed 11 nights in Espargos. Mini bus to Santa Maria cost 120, Palmeira 60 escudos. Hugo will send you links and directions to restaurants and places of interest.

“Outstanding”

The host turned our great vacation into an amazing vacation! He helped us book taxi's, showed us locations of where to eat and what to visit. Booked an island tour for us. He helped us with all our questions and is generally a very friendly and nice host! The location was great, close by to the city center. There are restaurants, supermarkets and bus 'stations' in walking distance.

“Great host, nice apartment”

Hugo is a great host, very friendly and helpful: he stayed up to wait for us when we arrived late on the first night, he offered us to check out in the evening of our last day, he gave us information on our ferry plans and there was bread and water for us when we arrived. The apartment is spacious and furnished well and there are ceiling fans to help with the heat.

All was good about this property and host. The host is a friendly and polite person, an architect. The Interior of the apartment is elegant. In the kitchen, there was coffee, water, and apples for me - that's a nice touch. All tourists heading to Santa Maria, because of that nice beach, I found Espargos more real as I wanted to know about Cape Verde, not about resorts.

Living with the locals gave u real sense of how the people on the island live very simply. Totally different to santa maria

The apartment is exactly as you see it in photos. The design is very good but this is the least impressive thing you are going to receive. Be prepared to find some food in the cabinets and in the fridge. The owners are the best part. Hugo and Monica will help you feel at home. They will give you the best recommendations about the island and answer all of your questions. We fall in love with this wonderful family. The review is completely rational and not connected with the previous sentence.

Our host, Hugo, was probably the best, most helpful and caring host we've ever experienced in 25 years of renting vacation properties. The term "beyond and above" does not begin to describe the extra effort he made to ensure that we enjoyed his tastefully renovated flat and maximized our holiday time. There isn't enough space to space here to list the extraordinary lengths he went to make us feel welcome in Espargos and comfortable.

It completely exceeded our expectations! Host - Amazing! Welcomed us with a big smile, was super friendly, kind, and very helpful both before and during our stay even with matters not related to the accommodation. He even got some freebies ready in the fridge, which took us by complete surprise! He did go the extra mile by being always available, social, and making us feel like at home. Accomm - very safe and beautiful! Had more than we expected starting with so much kitchen dishware and other equipment such as a drying clothes rack, broom, mop, ... It was clean, spacious, super modern, beautifully stylished with little touches that make a difference like blankets, candles, ... Bed was comfy! And my fav was the Sephora hand soap! :)))) Just a side note - the bedroom has a window right by the ceiling that is actually on a street level. So you can hear the street noise a bit more, but I am a light sleeper and did not have any problem actually. We enjoyed our stay a would come back for sure! Thank you Hugo!
