“incredible experience”

As a couple we stayed 2 nights. Had a great time, breakfast & dinner was perfect prepared from scratch from local produce by Sandra, we were made very welcome by our hosts. the views were stunning, we enjoyed watching the ever changing clouds dance around the mountain tops. Ken & Sandra took us to a local bar & was lovely to experience the local way of life. Also we went to the coffee farm this was also interesting to see how they farm this hill side area without any machinery. We parked our hire car at Mavis Bank with luggage we didnt need inside & was safe being next to the police station then it was a bumpy 45min 4x4 truck ride up which was all part of the fun. Would we go back? Yes, but would like stay long so we could settle more into mountain life & next time do the hike to the summit. Thank you to all at Jays rest 2 & hope to visit again sometime in the future, Mick & Helen

The guest house is located right up the mountain, with the most unique landscape. The view is absolutely breathtaking, and the house is surrounded with every possible vegetable and fruit trees which Angela - Jay's mom uses in her delicious cooking. The hospitality and generosity of Jay's family and staff is unique in every standard. Their knowledge of the area and its history is a real gift. The balcony adjacent to the room is the real gem; I could have spent days and days just sitting there, eating, reading my book, staring at the sky and mountains. it is the perfect spot from which to set off to climb the blue mountains. Lamar, the guide, was patient, kind and caring. Take warm clothes, mostly a coat - as it gets really cold at the peak.

Mountain retreat, close proximity to the Blue Mountain peak trail. Awesome locally sourced and cooked Jamaican breakfast and dinners. Well equipped for a comfortable stay. Well organised to provide guests with an enjoyable Blue Mountain experience. Recently renovated and comfortably furnished rooms, with ensuite bathrooms and decent hot shower.

Awesome location right up in the blue mountains with great views from their terrace. Jay and his parents take great care of you and the home made food is delicious. They organise tours to the summit.

The Guest House has wonderful views on the Blue Mountains. This is the real Jamaican experience. We visited the farm and enjoyed the fresh fruits straight from the trees. You are treated as family, food is also delicious. Highly recommended

The reception by Ms. Angela was well arranged. She is very kind, helpful and understanding. The rooms are clean and spacious. The bed was big and comfortable for my taste ( I do like a firm mattress). The view from the guesthouse to Blue Mountain was just beautiful. If your goal is to hike to Blue Mountain Peak, this is the right accommodation for you.

it was a beautiful location close to the start of the tour to the top of the blue mountain peak, staff were great and the food even better. accommodation was hygienic and neatly furnished.
