We received a very warm welcome from Vasilea and her family. Vasilea very kindly gave us plenty of local information and suggestions for days out. Grandma's House is spacious and full of character. It was lovely to sit out on the balcony and soak up the sunshine. The accommodation is not far from Epanomi's shops and cafes, one of which, within walking distance, served us an excellent breakfast most mornings. The house is a short drive from the coast which is well worth exploring. It is also very convenient for trips to Thessaloniki. It's about a two hour drive to Mount Olympus, one hour to Mount Chortiatis and just under two hours to Pella, all of which are worth a visit. The only small issue was the kitchen's hot tap was temperamental but the shower and bathroom sink had plenty of hot water.
