Overview
Le Chalvet, located in Ecrins National Park, is a countryside hotel offering a garden and terrace with valley views. There are a range of comfortable guest rooms, some accommodating up to 4 guests. Please note that the property is accessed via 40 steps Embrun has a train station, 3 km from the hotel. You may be interested to go skiing at Les Orres, a 30-minute drive away. Lake Serre-Ponçon, one of Europe’s largest artificial lakes, can be found 6 km away. Here you can enjoy hiking in the surrounding mountains or water sports.

Country style housing, local charm decorations, in the woods, huge and local food dinner, nice red wine, more than 500 ml. cofee each person at breakfast (!), nice and welcoming staff

“It’s a unique place with lots of charm and worth the stay.”
This is a quirky place high above Embrun our room was unique and had everything we needed. Dinner and breakfast were sensational. Our host ensured that my dietary needs were met with a special gluten free and dairy free menu. The hostess is friendly but be aware she doesn’t speak English.

“Very cozy and welcoming place!”
The hotel is located a bit in the mountains, but easily accessible by car (or a bike, if you’re strong enough). Our room was very clean with an exceptional view on the valley. Food is very good and home made with rather impressive portions (we couldn’t finish even though we have a good appetite). Hosts are very nice too!
